This is a motel, not a hotel. But it is very clean, the staff are very friendly, it felt very safe (and it was completely booked for our visit), and the location is excellent in State College. The only thing that bothered me was the bed was harder than I like, but that is all personal preference. Others in our party of eight said that they really liked the beds.

The check in was easy and staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel is very close to the PSU campus and a very easy drive. The rooms are a little dated, but they are very clean and well maintained. Restaurants are within walking distance, with one right next door, and a number more within 2 miles. For being on a busy street, the room was very quite. Adjustments to the heat were simple, unlike some newer hotels. The hotel is also within a half mile of a nice walking trail and bike trail. Both seemed to be well used by runners and walkers. I enjoyed the stay.

Property felt safe. Great place for breakfast across the parking lot. Giant is across the street. Bowling & movie theaters are around the corner...we literally walked back it was so close! Property is average for a motel. Nothing fancy. No pool. Not luxury. Nice, cute place! A great place to stay for cheap without compromising on cleanliness. Did not partake in provided breakfast, but location is great for Penn State campus, less than 10min by car. Lots of places to get food nearby as well.
