The small village of Dietzhausen is nestled in wooded mountains, yet is easily accessible via the A73 and A71. Charmingly situated in the Hasel valley, the village offers many opportunities for relaxing and eventful days. Many kilometers of hiking trails, in summer in the outdoor pool to cool off, cycling or skiing are possible.



The most famous high-altitude hiking trail in Thuringia, the Rennsteig, runs in the immediate vicinity (approx. 20 km) and also attracts many vacationers in winter thanks to its snow-sure location.

The "UNESCO Biosphere Reserve Vessertal", where many rare plants and insects still live and where the spring water is crystal clear, offers a special local recreational experience.

The winter sports resort of Oberhof is also in the immediate vicinity, approx. 25 km away, and is a great place for hiking and sports.
