Place is accurately described in the description. Great place if you want to be on the water and into fishing. Loved sitting out on the patio in the early morning.
Not impressed, will be looking into other options next visit.
It was ok but not great. Some floor tiles were broken and loose. Skirting around the outside was falling apart. There was no garbage bag in the trash can in the kitchen, and none in the place. There was only about a half of roll of toilet paper in each bathroom. The instructions in the binder on the table stated 'do NOT turn AC below 74' and to wash and put away extra towels used. They did leave 1 laundry pod. In order to load the washing machine, you had to take off the entire lid. There was a hole in the wall by the ceiling between the 2 bathrooms. Which left you no privacy while using the restroom. There was a lot of dust on vents. The dishes and pans in the cupboards were dirty. The fans in the living room amd one bedroom sounded like they were going to fall off the ceiling. The armour in the one bedroom was falling apart. The pool was closed the majority of the time we were there. We have been going to the Keys and staying at Venture Out for almost 8 years, we will be looking into other places to stay at in the future. bathroom.
The place was ok but covered in ants everywhere. Ant traps were placed but didnât seem to do anything. We had no food in the unit so nothing was attracting the ants.
We love the property, the pool, the seawall, marina...etc.
We would like to see a little more cleanliness with the linens and the little ants.. we get it your on the water, but they could spray.
All in all, great place!
This is a wonderful place in the Keys! My husband and I found it a perfect place, quick drive south to Key West and north to Islamorada, while visiting the keys! If you are looking for a place to rest your head at night and drink coffee on the porch in the morning while you spend your days adventuring the islands, this is a great place to stay!
We loved our stay. Home was very clean. We especially loved dining on the deck to start our days. Venture Out is a lovely quiet community, perfect for relaxing!
(A couple notes (but not worth lowering stars): it would be nice if there was a place to hang full length clothing. There is a wardrobe in the second room, but thatâs for shirts and pants. The top drawer in that wardrobe is broken clothes, so that limits space. It would also be nice if a kettle or even electric kettle was added.)
It was smaller than I imagined, but the view was fabulous and the neighbors were friendly. Unfortunately the WiFi only worked on the night we arrived. By Sunday there was no WiFi so I called 4/5 numbers until I got a referral to the property manager. Matt came over Monday night but was unable to fix it. We were unable to watch any TV all week. There were two bikes available for use, but they were leaning up against the neighbors house so I did not know that we could use them. A man walked right into the place without knocking and tried to take the couch that my daughter was sleeping on. Also a golf cart was sitting in the front yard and we were told it was ours for use, but not working. It was only me and my daughter and son staying there and they place was quite suitable if we would have known about the above issues. I feel that we should have credit for a couple of days stay. We left early.
Keep scrolling! Health hazard and vacation nightmare!!
Wish I knew how to give negative stars! And not just specifically to this rental, do your homework and check on reviews for all of Waterfront Keys Property Management on VRBO, Air bnb, Expedia, social media and google. Because I am not the only one that stayed in a nightmare rental.
Letâs start with the complete health hazard I was forced to stay in. MOLD IN EVERY VENT and deep in it. When reported only the covers were cleaned and I was told to open windows. Only to find out that hurricane shutters were still on one side of the rental and all other windows beside a few in the livingroom would even open!
Only one working smoke detector, a shower curtain for a bathroom door, clutter haphazardness in cupboards, what I can only imagine was a pubic hair in the medicine cabinet. Medicine that had expired in 2012 in the cabinet, dirty everything! The amount of dust on things was horrible! Light switches that go to nothing and lights that simply donât work. And thatâs just the main things. So much more was just awful! We couldnât stay outside and enjoy the patio because despite the owner having a 300k fishing boat in emasculate condition moored outside, no one could even consider taking care of the grounds. A tampon applicator right out front, overgrown landscaping and mounds of hurricane litter left over. When I shoveled away all of the leaf litter and organic matter the smell was awful and the bugs unbearable! Speaking of bugs⊠pretty sure there were bed bugs as we had sores all over. And the cockroaches⊠disgusting.
Needless to say, RUN!
Out to the water was fast and you have fuel and amenities on property but I appeared to be an add on to a one bedroom. The second bedroom was separated by only a bifold closet door so no privacy and the second bathroom had a shower curtain for a door and an open space near the ceiling to the other bathroom. The kids did not come which was good since the privacy was minimal and I fell into the tile floor step down from the dining room into the kitchen, make sure the lights are on so you can see where your going. Otherwise it was very clean and served itâs purpose.
Great location and the Venture Out pool and other amenities were very nice. Quiet location. Unit had a decent kitchen and two bathrooms.
- The instruction were non-existent regarding things like the thermostat, how to handle recycling and trash- WIFI access- This needs to improve. In addition, I called the management number and left a message that was never responded to- also must change!
