Deep water canal front adorable cottage! Well kept and clean!

Very comfortable and clean canal home cottage! This wonderful canal front home offers great views of the marsh and the waterway! With a covered back porch, you can still sit out there during a light to moderate rain without getting wet! The Crow's Nest is no longer available to access. New in 2023, the Guest bath has been remodeled, and new carpet in the bedrooms! Relax on the covered back porch overlooking the canal. In the hot afternoons, there is an outdoor living space under the home complete with a sectional sofa, coffee table, chairs, and a picnic table. Inside the home offers 3 Bedrooms (all with Queen beds), a portacrib for the small ones, 2 full Baths, Well stocked kitchen with a couple of bar stools. Living and Dining rooms open with vaulted ceilings and ceiling fans in the kitchen, living room, and all bedrooms! There is also an enclosed outdoor shower for rinsing off all the sand and deck seating on that level as well. For all your grilling needs, we offer a Blackstone gas griddle and charcoal grill! For the person who loves kayaking, there is an available kayak for your use. We are a Sunday to Sunday rental in the summer months. Beds are made up and ready for you! Just bring your towels that you need for the week. Offering 4 night minimums now. Currently we are not pet friendly. No smoking in the house. There are two exterior cameras for security purposes only.

The host requires you to complete the following before checking out:
Load and start the dishwasher
Strip any used beds
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights, lock the doors and return the keys
Please strip each bed and put the sheets in a pillowcase in each room. Also put the blankets beside the sheets as we wash those each week as well.
Trash is picked up early on Saturday mornings and Tuesday mornings. Please make sure the cans are out by the road the night before.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.

The Crow's Nest is no longer available to guests.
No smoking in the home but allowed outside with proper disposal of butts. Do not throw them in the yard please.

Summer vacation

The property was just as described, very clean, and perfect for our family of 4. There were beach chairs provided which was very nice. It was a short walk to the beach. Our son loved fishing in the canal. We all enjoyed the back deck in the mornings and late evenings. Barbara was super responsive and very easy to work with.

Barbara's house was perfect for our family. The boys could fish and kayak right at the house from the dock. The house is just a short walk to the beach. The kitchen was well stocked. The deck had great seating and was so peaceful to sit out in the evening and watch the water. The neighborhood was very quiet

Dream Holden Vacation

First off, the house is the perfect location and combination of amenities. Basically 1 block from the beach and a dock for fish and boating out back. The house is well stocked with everything you could need. We are vegan and knew we would need to cook a lot. She had all the spices and prep things one might need. The house was clean and just as described. Checking was easy and so was check out. We loved it!

2 minute Walk to the Beach

This was an absolute amazing place. Barbra was wonderful throughout our entire stay. I took my 3 siblings on a little getaway like we do every year, and this was by far their favorite! The general store and ice cream shop were big hits! Love this place.

Perfect long weekend getaway

The home was adorable, cozy, nicely furnished and super clean! We visited friends and family who live nearby but it was nice to retire to our own place at the end of the day and enjoy beautiful views of the canal.

Perfect Getaway

My husband and I booked a spur of the moment trip with our 2yo. We are so lucky to have found this gem. Our host was responsive and so welcoming. The house was super clean, comfortable, and fully stocked. The kitchen is well-equipped for cooking and dining. Our favorite spot was the back porch that over looked the canal. A perfect spot for relaxing after a day at the beach.

Perfect little getaway

The property is in a great location on the canal. We enjoyed fishing early in the morning and again in the evenings. House is clean and has everything you need and more. The property owner is extremely helpful and responds right away. I will definitely be staying here again in the future.

Immaculate Rental House

The house was one of the best rental houses that we have used in booking through VRBO. The house had everything that you could ever want in a rental home and the location was perfect with a short walk to the beach. We had a family of 4 and teenage kids rated the house one of the best with the ability to come in from the beach to fish and crab each night. Easy to cook with a fully stocked kitchen too. I would recommend pointing out no bath towels are included as we missed that in the listing. Barbara made this rental process very easy and we will definitely be booking again next summer!

My wife and 8 month old stay here for our first family of 3 beach trip. The owner is so incredible and even let us drop stuff off prior to check in. The house was a great location, super clean, just an overall great find. Highly recommend. Side note: my wife left shirts and the owner was kind of enough to mail them back to us!
