House was as described in listing and had everything needed for pleasurable stay. Cart was mediocre at best and there was a lack of cart parking at beach access, so we had to walk most of the time anyway. The pool was dirty with sand, mulch, leaves, etc and needed to be cleaned, so we skimmed it ourselves for kids to swim. The agency included a nice credit for beach gear which was useful for umbrella and chairs. The host was our biggest complaint; the amount of emails, messages, links to Google Drive and agreements to sign was overwhelming. We just wanted to rent a house, go on vacation, not read 1,000 pages of documents, rules, how-to, etc. It was absolute overload of information and directions. When I simply asked in a message about a check-in code, the host was rude and directed me to âreview the information providedâ. I just needed a door code to get in and relax on vacation; forgive me for missing that information in the 1,000 pages of âdocumentsâ provided. The information provided actually says âdo not wait until your check-in date to review, suggesting we read all documentation 3-5 days prior to check-in. Itâs just simply unreasonable to ask people this and sends a message of âdo not call me at last minuteâ as if we are an inconvenience. Overall the house is fine; I would not book again with this host.
