Clean and well presented, despite the slightly overwhelming perfumey smell throughout. Room was clean and comfortable, but a bit stuffy. A situation not helped by the inability to open windows and get some fresh air. The airco was somewhat inadequate resulting in quite a uncomfortably warm nights sleep. Also the noise from street was quite bad despite the double glazing. The staff , however, were friendly and helpful, no complaints there at all. Excellent breakfast.

Good for the money!!

Friendly check in, room was a little tired but clean, comfy bed and decent shower. Fairly quiet during the night. Breakfast was excellent!!

Located right by the train station, the property is very convient. The room was clean, comfortable, and modern. My only small complaint was that the fancy decorator light bulbs in the bedside lamps were not, for us, suitable for bedside use at all.

Hard to know what to say really the hotel is nice but the decor is a little over the top like someone went mad with the Wayfair catalogue! Our room was ok but not very clean, we had been left some 'gifts' in the toilet by the previous occupants also there was a wooden floor in the room which was covered in dust and fluff and needed a good mop.

We stayed for 3 nights as we were visiting pur friend about 30 minures north. The area is in the heart of downtown Swansea city. Surrounding area is a bit noisy, bustling in the evening. The hotel interior hallways could use some updating, but could you could tell it was a very nice space in it's heyday. i appreciate that the hotel takes measures to conserve energy. Rooms use a keycard system to turn on electricity in the rooms, like in the EU. Hallways lights are operated by motion sensor - when I opened by room door the hallway was dark - which startled my wife - but when you step outside of your room into the hallway, it lights up completely. Our room was nice and clean, towels fresh, bed comfy - all we needed for our stay. We did have a lovely breakfast in the restaurant, which was delicious. A very nice stay.

Lovely friendly welcoming staff. Clean room. Great having a fridge in the room. I didn't like the lack of security to the rooms. Stairs by the front doors to the front and side of the reception area. There was no lock on the access door to the rooms therefore anyone could access the corridors to the rooms

We love the hotel. And has stayed on many occasions. This time we were disappointed with the room. There were cigarette butts on the balcony, the tv remote didn’t work. The lights above bed didn’t work, the bath/shower switch in bath fell apart,

This hotel is literally yards from swansea station, i thought it would be cheap and cheerful and convenient but was suprised it was such a lovely hotel. Staff amazing decor lovely, will def be staying here again. Lovely utalian restaurant just down the road, tesco express opposite.

Not as expected.

We have stayed many times at the Grand and always been pleased with our room. We booked a double which turned out to be smaller than our small bedroom at home. We faced the back of the hotel which looked out onto roofs and a messy building site. The room itself was warm, clean and comfortable but the lack of space made it claustrophobic. We mentioned this at check out and was advised we could request another room if one was available.

I like staying in traditional old city centre hotels, this one is superb. Opposite the station, beautiful inside with nice, spotlessly clean bedrooms and bathrooms. Friendly staff make you feel welcome. Great breakfast as well .I definitely would like to return sometime, I arrived by train but there is a car park adjacent too.
