Charming stay; the owners are truly wonderful and go the extra mile to make you feel like family. The rooms are comfortable and clean and I loved the little touches that made my vacation special. Highly recommend!!
Evelyn and Iain were great hosts. The property is very historic, interesting and quiet. The homemade muesli was a highlight. As was yoga with Evelyn. Would love to come again for longer.
It was so lovely stepping back in time it felt very appropriate for our stay at the blue mountains. A beautiful well cared for historic home in a peaceful setting. I will definitely be back!
The attention to detail, property charm and the hospitality we received was a standout. We had a lovely trip and would recommend to anyone wanting a meaningful break where quality, great service and originality matter.
Our stay was beyond our expectations. The Kurrara is a lovely, quaint old style guest house that has a lot of charm and character. It is very comfortable and the breakfast was quite good. It is also situated close to the Three Sister tracks and the old town with shopping and restaurants. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and met other couples who were staying at the Guest House.
Breakfast at a weekend only available 08:00-09:00am not acceptable for a relaxing weekend away even at a guest house charging $100/ night not one charging $300/ night
Check in on a Friday evening only available until 19:00 again not acceptable. Reception not actually open, had to phone then wait 5 minutes at 17:00.
These times seem to be organised for the convenience of the owners not the guests.
Don't book the Deluxe Double Room, 1 King Bed, Non Smoking, Ground Floor. Its next door to the Guest lounge / breakfast room and you will get woken up at 06:30 by breakfast the noise of staff walking about preparing the guest lounge for breakfast.
Spa bath was grubby and lethally slippery.
Decanter of port in the bedroom a nice touch though.
Delightful period property, and the hosts couldnât be better, very helpful and attentive, the only place I think Iâd ever consider when coming to Katoomba.
Itâs a 20 min walk from the train station and a 5 min walk to the Prince Henry Cliff Walk round to Echo Point, which is a must if you come here
Canât recommend highly enough
Charming Victorian guest house that has been restored to its former glory. Well done and friendly inn keepers with great recommendations for restaurants and local attractions.
