Lovely, welcoming staff. Compact but comfortable and clean room with adjacent lounge facilities. A bit noisy into the late rvening but it is a pub. Lovely and quiet once the saturday night revelry ceased. Thank you for a comfirtable and very convenient overnight stay.

Great hotel with sports bar on the ground floor. Recently refurbished, staff was excellent. Only downside is the location, there are no restaurants or shops or anything to do nearby.

The hotel was fantastic! You can tell they really put in a lot of work to make the hotel presentable, up to date, and clean but also keep that historic charm. The rooms are on the second floor, above the bar scene, so you can hear the music and people socializing downstairs but it wasn’t loud enough that we didn’t sleep. We appreciated that there was an extra door with a security code so the public couldn’t get to the second floor unless they were renting a room. We would definitely stay here again.

Fabulous pub stay

Wonderful. Could not fault both rooms and staff. This is our second stay here and it could not get any better. Clean and spotless the most amazing staff,quite room and very reasonably priced food.WE WILL BE BACK

The Hotel was a lovely restored and modernized classic Australian pub/hotel. The coffee/tea/biscuits in the Hotel commons were a treat. The beds were very comfortable. The Hotel staff were very accommodating and provided an extension cord since the outlets were not near the bed. All-in-all, a comfortable, clean, hotel with good service.

Clean and cosy but...

We were welcomed and upgraded on arrival by a friendly member of staff, which we really appreciated after a long flight. The room, however, was extremely loud until 2:30am, meaning we had little to no sleep. We also weren't very keen on the area, and wouldn't recommend here for anything longer than a quick overnight stop. The room was nice, however: clean and cosy.

We had a two night stay here on a weekend trip to Sydney. We found the staff and service was friendly and helpful, rooms were clean, beds comfortable and despite being located above the beer garden and on a main road, the rooms were exceptionally quiet. The adjoining Queen rooms were a perfect option for us - with a passage door in between. Access to venue and rooms was via pin codes which made it super easy - no need to worry about keys. The food was great - a few vegetarian options which I appreciated. There's not a lot of alternative dining options in the immediate area - but a coffee shop located 100m up the road (didn't try this). Location was close enough to walk to Marrickville (25min) and a pretty cheap Uber fare to airport. Would happily stay here again :)
