Really impressed with this hotel. We stayed here 8 years ago and they have thoroughly overhauled the whole hotel. The room we stayed in is large, well appointed and extremely up to date. Service is exceptional and accommodating. Location is in Shimen area and very central. A couple of blocks from Shimen Ding and one block from the MTR station. I would for sure stay here again if I visit Taipei in the future.

Rooms were very spacious and clean. The staff are very nice and courteous, they assisted with any questions we had. They open the door as you enter and exit, the free two water bottles and canned sodas are replenished daily into the small fridge. The sheets/towels are changed everyday if you place the placard. The train station is like 40 steps away or 1 minute, perfect to travel to other places or events. The night market is jammed with different types of shops/food. Whenever I come back to Taiwan, this is my go to hotel.

Hotel was clean, although the rooms were standard and not very fancy. Hallway was noisy at night, and the bathroom setup was somewhat awkward. Staff was very kind and helpful. Buffet was good though could have used more variety.

Overall amazing hospitality at the lobby and cleaning service! We stayed for 4 days and enjoyed all of them, area in Ximen is a bit low in maintenance but as soon as you step into Westgate it feels like a haven. The dragon is also a nice touch, thank you WH team for the wonderful stay!

I’m impressed- truly

Excellent stay ! Wow let’s start with rhe location - cannot be beat. Here’s why: 30 second walk to the metro station (one stop away from Taipei Main station) and the night market and entertainment district is literally behind the hotel but the hotel and rooms are quiet ! The staff is incredibly nice - some of the nicest people I’ve interacted with and the breakfast buffet is huge - so many choices. I’m impressed

Property is less than 1min walk to Ximen Station Exit 6. Staff are friendly and welcoming. Room is clean and they gave 2 pineapple cakes as welcome snack. Only feedback is, soundproofing wasn’t great and i can hear people talking outside quite clearly. But i guess many hotels are like tat. Will stay again if i return to Taipei.
