Wish I was still there!

The folks at Stay in Tamarindo do an AMAZING job of making your vacation flawless. To begin with, Casa Leon was absolutely beautiful. The arrangements with the bedroom and corresponding en suites was perfect for our group. The kitchen has everything you need. The house was SO clean and the staff that maintains the home, pool, and landscaping are great. The beach that is just steps from the home is one of the most beautiful I have ever seen. It was super-convenient to have the beach club and golf so close by. Stay in Tamarindo also booked our excursions and our transportation, which like everything else, was perfect. They also hooked us up with Chef Juan who came to the house to cook dinner a few nights. Those meals were so fresh and delicious. Needless to say, we would all go back in a heartbeat!

2024 Extended family vacation

Overall, we thought the house was very nice, there were 15 people in total, including the kids, the bedrooms were spaced out so we all still had some privacy which was great! The house was very close to walk to the beach and the resort, which was great to have access to. The only complaint was the dishwasher didnt work so well. And one of the bedrooms A/C didnt seem to keep the bedroom cool like the others, but overall great place for multiple families to stay. Housekeeping staff was also very nice and accommodating!

Celebrating my 60th birthday

We had a wonderful time celebrating my birthday with 7 other couples at Casa Leon. Samantha was an awesome property manager and helped me plan a great vacation, organizing groceries, chefs, excursions and breakfast. The two housekeepers, Alexa and Marisol, were awesome. They were constantly making us food and pitchers of delicious Pina coladas and margaritas while we were lounging in the pool. All the bedrooms were nice and the en suites were a nice touch. We had a fabulous time!

Lovely to stay with our family and friends in this great location. There were nine of us. Plenty of gathering area and plenty of separate space. Great to have the house moms they were very helpful. Beach a short walk away. Beto the concierge was always responsive to give ideas or help with anything.

Business Meetings and Vacation

We booked Casa Leon to hold our annual business planning meeting/vacation. The house was spacious, clean and had everything we needed to host meetings and spend a week in Costa Rica in comfort. The house as amazing as advertised. The 8 bedrooms, with all but one having it's own private bathroom, provided the accomodations we were looking for. Having the house mom's cook us breakfast every morning allowed for productive morning meetings giving us time to enjoy the afternoon at the pool or beach. It's a very short walk to the beach and the Beach Club. Access to the beach club is a tremendous perk. Whether it's for quick lunch or spending the whole afternoon. Service and food at the were top notch and the people we met were warm and gracious. House keeping services were daily and we always had fresh towels and clean dishes to start the day. It was truly an amazing stay and we're already looking forward to a return visit to Costa Rica and Casa Leon.

Great Family Retreat

Elsa our concierge, was outstanding in arranging events and coaching us on what activities we should do, as it was our first trip to Costa Rica. The home was just as advertised, large home, great pool, great location. It was an easy walking distance to beach and Beach Club. The 10 adult members of our family had a great time.

Avellanas Tropical Paradise

Our family had a wonderful vacation in the Costa Rican tropical paradise of Las Avellanas. Casa Leon is a beautiful property with private beach access nearby. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. We spent time at the beach nearly every day, enjoying the warm ocean waters sometimes by ourselves. The housekeepers, Dani and Mered, were the best! They were genuinely kind and hospitable. We were spoiled with a full breakfast every morning and snacks/drinks to enjoy in the afternoon, usually at poolside. The property host, Mariam, was very gracious, welcoming and supportive during our entire stay. She helped us in so many ways, from coordinating transportation, pre-ordering groceries, taking a family member to the community medical clinic, renting a vehicle, excursion planning and making restaurant recommendations and reservations. Don’t know what we would have done without her! We had a memorable vacation and positive experience overall. We would certainly love to come back and visit again for this 5-star experience!

This villa was absolutely beautiful and well appointed! Mariam was able to help us take care of every detail from restaurant reservations, booking activities, baby rental items, grocery delivery as well as private chef services and much more. She answered every question (and there were many) with grace and patience. She played a huge part in making this vacation one to remember.

Beautiful

Our family reunion of 13 people truly enjoyed our stay at this home. The property is beautiful. We especially loved the shady pool and the large dining table which we all fit at. We loved spending time together as a family in the home. The beach which was a 2 min walk from the house, was so perfect and serene as was the beach club which was a 7 min walk from the house. We loved having so much private beach access, a private pool club all in addition to the house pool (which we used a ton). The house cleaner crew of 2 were lovely. We didn't need them to cook much for us as we did most of our own cooking but they did make breakfast one morning and it was delicious. They also made fresh guac and ceviche for us one day after we caught a bunch of fish. That was a great treat too. The only issue was we did have 3 nights without AC in one of the 8 rooms. However, the management team worked really hard for 3 days to fix it and ended up taking care of us at the end. The 8 bedrooms are perfect for couples as they are all almost identical with a king bed and private bathroom,. This made it easy for us all to choose a room and no one felt cheated with a smaller bed and no one had to share a bathroom which was great. I loved the suggestions for the spa and private yacht that the concierge, Mariam, recommended too. My son surfed almost everyday and caught the best waves of his life! Overall, we had a great vacation and we all want to go back and stay in the house again.

Our trip was amazing and truly felt like a vacation! The house was incredible and perfect for our group of 11! Our housekeepers were so attentive and made our stay that much better! The beach club is within walking distance as well as the surf is literally across the street! We will definitely be back and hated leaving!
