We had very poor communication leading up to our stay, and then two hours before check-in, they called to cancel due to overbooking. We are still waiting on a refund.
Staying here was not the best place. The communication of the staff was truly horrendous. If we had any small questions they wouldnât answer or any big issues they didnât answer. They also did not answer the phone. It was mostly through text messageâ and even then they would text us a response for 2-3 minutes then go silent for hours even days. Make sure to document every thing about the property. Staff was rude with simple questions. Property was cleaned all the way through even though they asked for a cleaning fee. There were a few wet towels that they expected us to use â gross. We found insects. The only highlight for me was having warm water in the bathrooms, a working toilet, a working microwave, and a washing machine that ran.
This is the dirtiest place I have ever stayed in. Smelled like weed. Rips on coach. Stains all over walls. They donât even provide soap communication was awful. Had to jump through hoops to pay the cleaning fee. Took 40 minutes to get the code. All done through text email and online payments. Went for the Tampa Bucs playoff game. The building itself is not bad. So much potential. I was so excited for this trip and booked without reading reviews. My fault as I usually do. READ THE REVIEWS PLEASE !!!
Warning: This property is not what is advertised. The room count and bath count are accurate however the furnishings are NOT what is pictured. There are no dressers, the bedding was little to none. The walls and furniture were stained and had holes. There were a few towels, not enough for a family. There were no TVâs in the bedrooms or dressers. One room had a desk lamp on the floor for lighting. The house smelled of smoke and marijuana and ultimately made our family have headaches and were nauseous within the first 30 minutes. There were ashes in the window sills. The dryer had some kind of substance all over the inside and on the door. We were asked to give the cleaning fee before given the code by cash, ApplePay, CashApp or Zelle before given the code for entry and when I paid the fee we were given an address a few Villas down from the one listed. We were contacted from another number for the fee but told to send the payment to the one listed which seemed odd. I tried to communicate immediately through all channels two phone numbers and messaging through Expedia with no response. We checked out immediately and were never contacted until we got the check out email telling us how to do so. We ended up having to book two hotel rooms to accommodate our kids safety and use spending money from our vacation to do so taking away from their experiences but worth every cent to get them out of this property. Do not book this, itâs clearly a scam!!!
The house maybe is not located in the best neighborhood. During our stay, a man knocked on the door several times, and children were running around the house making noise. Initially, we had some communication issues regarding the check-in. When we arrived, there was no clear information about access or how the remaining payment should be made.
The exterior of the house is not very appealing, but the interior was a pleasant surprise. It was clean, organized, and well-equipped. We stayed in several houses during this trip, but this one stood out for its attention to detail and care for the guests. The host provided an abundance of high-quality personal hygiene items, cleaning supplies, and even kitchen staples like oil, salt, and pepper. The house is also very fragrant, which added to our positive impression.
A special thanks to the cleaning lady, who was very helpful and polite.
As a guest, I would suggest a few improvements to make the house even more comfortable: adding blackout curtains in the bedrooms, providing larger white towels, and, in the future, including a table with at least six chairs.
Did not get code, waited 3 hours and finally had no other option but to get a hotel. They said they will not refund which is common practice woth these people.. Pictures of property do not come close to what it is. I would suggest you read the reviews and pass this place up.
Place was nice and new, but it is very dirty, cigarette smell, pubic hair in my bed, dirty shower and kitchen with dirty old plates, garage door is broken, someone try to get in without ring or nock the door. I try to communicate with management lady bit she just ignores me. Hair dryer doesnât work, I have to go to the laundry around the corner. I donât think that i should pay for the cleaning fee.
It was absolutely horrible. Not sanitary, lacked common needs like towels, spent the first 40 minutes into check in trying to receive an access code to property. Was greeted by another family attempting to check into the same place. Very sketchy communication with property, will not answer the phone but will text. We left quickly after finally getting checked in, due to having a concert. when we got back at 1am, realized the condition of the property (no towels, toilet paper, bugs on the bed, uncleaned bathrooms) and chose to drive home instead of stay. Being told by the property that being that it was reported at 1 am there is nothing to be done.
I liked the layout of the house, its very spacious. I like the kitchen area, the Primary Bathroom is very nice...
However looking back at other reviews-I should have been prepared...No remote for either TV. The housekeeper busted in at 6pm - talking about she didnt know anyone was there, how? when we checked in over 3hrs ago. The furniture was cheap, torn & falling apart. The beds dont match the frame. We bought towels.The kitchen cooking supply was very limited, I had to improvise with most of the basic cooking procedures. Showered the dark for 3 days, until a friend came in fixed the light bulbs because they weren't screwed in all the way.

NOT SO WELL AT ALL. THE PLACE WAS NASTY AND DUSTY. WE POINTED THINGS OUT TO THE CLEANING CREW. THEY SAID THAT THEY WERE GOING TO GET CLEANING SUPPLIES. HOWEVER THEY TOOK THE CLEANING FEE AND NEVER RETURNED. WE HAD TO BUY CLEANING SUPPLIES AND CLEAN BECAUSE WE HAD SMALL TODDLERS.
This property doesnât have a front desk so trying to get anything done is not gonna happenâŠchecked in the room after sending a cashapp to the cleaning people who didnât clean properly we walked the house and it was only 1 TV in the whole 4 bedroom house and they stated that the last guest broke the TV but it would be replaced the next day and we checked out today still without a TV in the master bedroom, the tub was backed up and they didnât come to fix that until Sunday when we checked in Thursday. My next trip to Tampa I will enjoy but I wonât be staying here itâs not worth it
Property was really close to the interstate, thereâs also a really good Cuban cafe down the street. Home wasnât dirty but could have used better cleaning. Shower looked dirty on the corners and also found someoneâs wallet on the side of the bed, not sure how they missed that if they cleaned the room?
The only reason why I give a 1 star to this property is because the system doesnât allow me to give them a zero!!driving to the property was very scary the area looked very sketchy, made it to the property but it wasnât clean yet later we came back the inside was ok old towels barely no cups or plates we were only there for 1 night until our cruise the very next day We decided to watch a movie it was at about 8:45pm when someone used the code and came in the property We all started screaming I thought it was one of the girls but it was 2 unknown males they left we call the police and the property' manager with no luck I send texts asking for a call back that it was an emergency, Police came we reported the incident they even ask us to get another hotel! We booked through Expedia and after an hour one of my friends talking to a representative they said there were nothing they could do only try to get us our money back! So I got on the phone and demanded to speak to a supervisor 40 minutes later a supervisor from Expedia did call me back and we did moved to another hotel It wasnât until after midnight that we were on another hotel although it took way to long for Expedia to realize the emergency in the situation they did moved us and we were able to get some sleep we checked out of the second hotel it was BEAUTIFUL However I still no response from the property manager at Chestnut villas If you love your family Donât stay at this property.
We went to this property 4 months ago and itâs incredible how people destroy everything. The property smell of cigars itâs disgusting my son get sick for that reason because he is allergic we never get back to that property again .
