The hotel was beautiful and room was nice and clean. But we paid for a balcony room and we were given a garden view and the hotel did to change our room rate. They just offered a credit to use the onsite services which we had no intention to use as we already had dinner plans and we were there for one night.

The hotel was great, staff was friendly would definitely stay there again if I found myself in Tampa for some reason, but Tampa is overpriced and mediocre. Which is unfortunate. All of our interactions with people were great, but the taste of food and drinks was subpar almost everywhere we went. We would have had a much better time if we’d just stayed and eaten at the hotel the entire weekend.

This is a fantastic hotel. Seems to be independent, non-chain and whomever is running it, as well as the wider facilities like the bar and restaurant is doing a great job. We've stayed here several times as our kid is at USF and it's wayyyy better and same price or even less than the ghetto holes by campus. Anyway, great hotel. One point worth mentioning is Ybor is a gay area so if you're sensitive to that, may not be for you. It's not Castro in SF, but...

Unless you want to risk parking on the street (area is sketchy for that) you are forced to use valet ($$$$). Our room a/c didn’t work properly and left the room ridiculously humid. Really disappointed because otherwise loved the hotel; everyone was kind and gracious, food in restaurant was great, bar was fun. I’d go back if it wasn’t for the damp room.
