I was made to feel very welcome from the minute I arrived until I left. Nothing is too much trouble. My room was very clean and comfortable. Good choice of food on the menu. They were happy to cook a lovely meal for myself and family. I would stay there again. You do need a car as there are no pavements and it is situated on a busy main road, that was the only downside.
The staff was very kind and accommodating. The premises was quiet and smelled very nice. My sink did have a leak, the tile of the bathtub was falling off, and my trash cans already had trash in them. But honestly, Iâd just stayed in a hostel and was thrilled to have a room to myself.
I had a wonderful week stay at The Lanterns Hotel which is in the Tarbert countryside along the "Wild Atlantic Way" overlooking the Shannon River. I had a beautiful room with a 4 poster bed and the owners, Ishi and Raj, were so friendly and accommodating. They knew I didn't have a car so they made arrangements with the most wonderful local woman to show me the sites and she turned out to be full of information and better than the best tour guide I could have ever found. There is a bar/restaurant right on site for meals and a short drive down the road will get you to the ferry to Claire or the quaint little town of Glin. The People of Glin were so warm and welcoming I felt like I knew them forever. I would do this trip again and not change 1 thing. It was just perfect!
