Perfect for our family of 4 for 2 nights. 15 year old son loved the upstairs mezzanine bed.
Plenty of games and DVDs for the evenings.
Would be lovely in summer, but was warm and cosy in winter.
Cute, different, separate cabin kind of accommodation.
These are in the back yard of the hosts home but separated by a hedge. This is not within walking distance to the shopping district but a five minute drive away. The lounge/kitchen/ bathroom are in one building and each bedroom is close by but not interconnected or undercover. Also note that there is no toilet attached to the bedroom, so a visit to the bathroom in the night, requires going outdoors and walking into a close, but still separate building. It wasnât a major issue for us and the weather was fine but wouldnât be ideal in rainy weather or in super cold conditions. The host was great and there were lots of items like tea and coffee, available to use . The bedrooms are basic and cute, particularly externally.
Loved our stay! Deb was a very welcoming host. The cabins were adorable, beds comfortable and shower water pressure amazing. Everything we needed for a relaxing long weekend in Taupo. Lake only a minute walk away and Two Mile Yacht Club a 10min stroll along the lakefront. We spent some wonderful hours sitting in the sunshine enjoying cups of tea and glasses of wine, listening to the birds.
We enjoyed staying here. Deborah was very friendly and helpful. We were there during a windy rainy time period and missed sitting out around the patio. The only drawback was the bedroom is in a separate cottage from the bathroom which was a bit of a drag in the middle of the night in a storm. Other than that it was great!
These 2 quaint sleep outs are lovely. Didn't particular like the bed as was very uncomfortable for me personally but my family had no problem with it. Good location and only a short walk away from the ploughman's pub which has fantastic food. The dogs loved swimming in Lake Taupo that is only 2 minutes away from the property.
