We stayed at the Traveler on our way back to Ohio from the Carolinas. We were traveling with our family (two adults and two middle grades kids) and my parents (in their 70s). It could not have been better, literally. We were given a code to enter the building and our suite. It was very clean, with lots of fresh towels and "extras" like shampoo, dish soap, coffee & creamer, etc. We have stayed in many airbnb-type places in which anything consumable is not included (even things like trash bags and toilet paper), so this was a welcome surprise after a day of traveling. The beds were comfortable, everything seemed quite new, everything worked well. We will definitely be staying here again.
Just a note, though. Our map app took us along the Clear Fork river, on Rt 61 to get there from I-77 northbound. We were lucky it was daylight and clear skies, because this 55mph road was treacherously twisty and with lots of hairpin and blind curves. We were going almost 20mph lower than the posted speed limit and I felt like we were tempting fate. I understand we're saying that as people who live in a very flat area, but still. On our way out the next day we went Rt 460 to get back on to I-77, and wow, what a huge difference. We calculated that it would have taken the same amount of time to come this way, and that's what we'll be doing in the future.
TLDR: book it.
