The location was just amazing. A short walk to all our favorite restaurants, shops and the park. However, the property could use a little TLC. Bathroom pocket door was off the track and inoperable from the day we arrived. Paint in the bath above the shower curtain is scuffed and previous shower rod holes in need of patching. Also, the shower is very slow to drain and pooling 1-2" of water. (Yuck) Soaps, lotions, etc. were really nice! The electric socket in the back corner behind the bed is dangerously overloaded with "add on" adapter plugs and were not easy to access. Night reading lights weren't plugged in and didn't feel safe plugging 2 additional lights into the add-on adapter. A power strip with a surge protector is an easy fix for this.Dimmer switch in the kitchen didn't really dim the light. Also, there are 2 sets of cooking utensils with virtually the same set of utensils taking up counter space. There were LOTS of chotchkes on the mantle making it seem cluttered. WiFi was great. Finally--the door to the cottage is NOT red. We spent 30 minutes looking for a "red door" that is more a burnt orange, rust, or terracotta color but most assuredly not red. Overall Dahl Cottage is very sweet/charming with an amazing location but as noted just needs a little TLC.
bathroom pocket door non functional and should be fixed. No other issue. We did have some confusion finding the right place but it was mainly due to our late arrival. Door is marked with unit E as it should be. parking was full when we arrived as we were warned it could be.
The location was incredible, and so glad to have a pet friendly spot since the town is so pet friendly too! There's no dishwasher, but plenty of great restaurants literally steps from this spot in town. I had a little trouble with the dryer, and wish I read about the alleyway noise --- lots of activity in the evenings with glass disposal and waste management in the morning. Overall great location, great space for a cost friendly stay!
This was the cutest place to stay! I brought my pug and we enjoyed being able to walk to Main Street (literally like half a block) and he was comfy while I enjoyed the world-class skiing! The gondola was about a block walk. Seriously the location couldnât have been more perfect! I loved this place :)
The location makes this property worth it, tucked in the alleyway in the middle of everything. Walkable to everything the town of Telluride and Mountain Village have to offer. Downside is that you will hear people walking around upstairs. You will be surrounded by dumpsters used by the local shops and restaurants. There is no view and no storage for clothes. Having said that, it was great for a couple and dog who spent most of their time outdoors.
This is our second stay at Dahl Cottage, and we will definitely be back again. The cottage itself is perfect for us - 2 adults and 2 small dogs. Everything is right at your fingertips and the design is thoughtfully laid out, with every inch of space maximized. The location is perfect - less than 2 blocks to the gondola and easy walking distance to shops and restaurants. The perfect little getaway!
Property is well maintained and easy walk to gondola. Perfect location in town. House has everything you need and despite being small the space is well designed. Beds including pull
out bed were comfortable. Will definitely be back.
We came into town for business. Very central location near the market, dining and gondola. The little kitchen is great for early risers who need coffee and a snack. It is in an alley, so you hear what you would in an alley.
Cozy & small for 3 people. Two would be more comfortable. The kitchen is nice and well stocked but the table is wobbly. Uncomfortable, hard, bunk bed matresses need to be replaced. The "sliding" door to the bathroom was terribly frustrating. The door does not slide at all. All three of us spent the entire stay wrestling and cursing the door. (i.e. Push on the top of the door while also trying to pry it open without a handle. Get the door a little way open and try to squeeze yourself past it. Get woken up in the middle of the night by someone trying in vain to get into or out of the bathroom with the door making terrible grating noises.) Real fun. đ
My husband and I stayed at Dahl House with our dog and it was a wonderful experience. Parking was available right outside our door and while there was no fence there were great places nearby for our dog to do his business. Its a qaint, older house close to restaurants and shopping so it feels a bit like city living in a small mountain town. No washer/dryer or dishwasher so plan for that. Definitely a pet friendly home.
This home was the perfect cozy spot in an incredible location!! Just 2-3 minute walk from the free gondola! Weâll definitely be back!
The bed was the most comfortable bed Iâve ever slept in!! And you can see the mountain from 3 different windows!
We loved the provided shampoo, conditioner, and lotion!
I hope the fireplace can be repaired soon, because a warm fire would have made this stay better match up with the online listing. But things break & need repairs and thatâs ok.
We also wish there were wine glasses in the home! Maybe for next time!
We enjoyed this apartment. We were right near the grocery store. It had a little courtyard. The parking was a bit tough, but once we figured it out it worked out just great. I would definitely stay there again.
My family stayed at this property for a week long ski trip. The place is in an ideal location to all of the activities in town, the gondola and chair 8. It all seemed to be about a block away. The location could not have been better, and staying in town was certainly the right move here. There seems to be more of a soul in town rather than in mountain village. We would definitely stay here again.
While our family of 4 stayed here, it was basically like a large hotel room with a nice sized kitchen and eating area. For our purposes it was perfect. We only ate breakfast there and then crashed at the end of the day.
The place was cute, but had a bit of wear and tear on it. This was particularly evident in the bathroom, as there was a bifold door in the bathroom that did not close properly. This was because of the washer/dryer combo protruded out too far. Additionally, the dryer function did not work, which is something we were informed about 2 weeks prior to our arrival. No way to repair? COVID funky supply issues? Who knows? But a bummer nonetheless. We were supplied with a drying rack for various clothes that might be wet. Which I suppose is better than nothing.
The place is a back unit that you enter off the alley. Not a big deal, but don't expect a grand entrance.
The location was great but there was a lot of stuff (6 chairs and nonworking fake fireplace, that is removable but is marked 'not working') that could be removed to make the space feel less cluttered.
The apartment could also benefit from some upgrades (lots of wear and tear) and the dryer didn't work which was frustrating as we planned to do some wash.
Finally, while the place is very quaint and overall we enjoyed our stay, the check-in/out hours weren't ideal (check in at 4pm, checkout by 10am).
