Great stay

The hotel was in a great location. Very easy to walk to shops and activities. The room was small but had everything we needed. The staff was very friendly and willing to answer questions. The free breakfast and free parking was an added plus. We would definitely stay there again.

We loved the location—just steps from the gondola, shops, and dining, which made exploring super easy. It was also close to some trail heads. However, parking was a challenge since there weren’t enough spaces for all the guests. The biggest issue was the lack of air conditioning. Our room was uncomfortably warm at night, and we didn’t discover the small window fans hidden in a drawer until our second night (and only because I went to the front desk to ask for a fan). They helped a little, but not enough to sleep well. We also had loud upstairs neighbors that sounded like a herd of elephants every 5 minutes and no front desk staff available after 9 p.m., so we had to deal with the noise all night and left exhausted for a long drive home. Overall, it was just okay—I wouldn’t stay here again.

It was a basement room that was the equivalent of a Motel 6 at four times the price. I could find better furniture at Goodwill - the chairs didn’t even match at the table and were best up and old. I guess this is what you get for $360/night in Telluride. The staff, however, were very friendly and the room, although sad overall, was clean.

Property looks nice from outside but needed to be updated inside room. Bathroom sink area was extremely small, phone didn’t work, tv service was a mess, door stuck and didn’t close properly, and room was extremely stuffy with no ac and a small window fan. Check-in staff was warm and welcoming.

Decent place if prepared for what is available.

First off Telluride weather comes from a higher elevation than the town. Expect temps to be 20 degrees warmer than reported on apps. This was a nostalgic hotel. No AC or air flow, glass topped furniture, 5 foot high shower head in a chipped tub, and walls so thin you can hear all your neighbors. Sleeping in the summer requires windows to be open and ear plugs as the street is far from quiet with everyone jockeying for the limited street parking, and every car beeping when locked or unlocked. There is good WiFi, and service from the staff was great. The breakfast was decent as well. Located near several restaurants in walking distance and the river walk too. The room worked for two people. This hotel seems to be typical of the area, or small towns. It is usable if prepared for the limited amenities of this type of facility.

Not for a light sleeper

The hotel has a charming, older feel, which I didn’t mind. However, if you're a light sleeper, this may not be the best option. There are no blackout blinds, and since there's no air conditioning, you’ll likely need to keep the windows open. Unfortunately, the outdoor lighting from the patio shines directly into the rooms, and the noise carries easily. While the fire pit area is a nice touch, guests were gathered there smoking late into the night, which made it difficult to sleep with the windows open. The smell of cigarette smoke drifted into the room and lingered, which was unpleasant.

Not bad for the price!

Nice place, location is wonderful. It needs some TLC. No Air Conditioning, but sid have window fans. Sink falling off the wall, couldn’t get TV to work, & the furniture was dated. One of our key cards didn’t work. Breakfast was a bit boring. Overall I would stay here again, as it’s a value being in the heart of Telluride.
