Property management company canceled my reservation the day of check in after confirming my stay. They said it was because I didn't pass the screening, but they couldn't tell me why. They said they use another company to do the screenings and sometimes it could be something as simple as the address and the credit card not matching the address we have saved on VRBO. Ridiculous. They were supposed to confirm the reason for this happening and get back to me, but they never did. They did however refund my money. But I spent 45 minutes on the phone with reps that were not helpful. I've been using VRBO for years and never had this issue before. There is absolutely no reason why I should have passed a screening for a weekend rental. I have no criminal history, I own my home, and my credit is good, and the payment cleared. What more do you need?
