The staff is friendly and outgoing. The problem are the rooms and pool area. The rooms are old and shabby looking. Wallpaper is peeling and paint needs to be freshened up. The pool area is dark and unattractive and the plant garden has many dead plants.

For an economical hotel, it was well maintained and clean. Bathroom and shower areas were okay but in need of updating. heating system worked good, a good value for the money. The front desk staff was very courteous and helpful to our questions.

The room and facility was very clean and comfortable. Located across the street from the golf course I played at. Very convenient to drive to town and local attractions. Safe surroundings.

Room booked with a 6 year old who was not allowed because of a larger tub in the room, and we were downgraded rooms by the front office with no alternative other than losing the entire booking fee and finding another place. No compensation for more than $100 upgrade between the given room vs the booked room. Staff offered no other options. The place was largely vacant so it's not an issue of availability. Also the window was not able to lock and the screen was falling out and not secured at all and being on the first floor was more of a hazard than an unfilled bathtub.

Gorgeous location. Close to all kinds of restaurants and gift shops. Room was clean and beds were comfortable. We got a balcony and it was so nice sitting outside watching the fall leaves! The pool was warm and the pool enclosure was so tranquil with the little sitting area and garden Highly recommend!

My complaint is more with Travelocity - I booked a room overnight at the Adirondack Lodge for $112 - Added the protection program for an additional $10 (which when I saw that the weather might make our stay not feasible for outside activities [this was 3 days prior to our Check-in - I found that this protection program was not available with this location, but Travelocity would help me if it was necessary] Thankfully the weather predictions changed and was not an issue) - Lastly again with Travelocity the Ad stated that the location was “Pet Friendly” which it was but for a surprise $86 which nearly doubled our cost for the stay - We are Seniors on a limited budget so this was an unpredicted expense and also unpleasant surprise - The Desk attendant Josh (who very nice) stated that I should have called about having a pet (there was no information that I noted to double the cost of our stay in a special room) - Josh Explained that this can be a problem with Travelocity and Expedia bookings (not noting the need to switch to a different room or needing to call the location that I would have a small dog) - I have stayed at many hotels that are “Pet Friendly” but not with such an aggressive increase in cost - W

Just what we needed for a weekend with friends. Room was spacious, staff super friendly. Love the ADK decor! It was warm, so window AC struggled a little. And it was a busy weekend (90 mile paddle race, marsthon weekend), so mornings were a little noisy- nothing a noise machine can't overcome!

I stayed the night with my two boys to have fun in Old forge after Water Safari. The hotel was decently priced and I liked the parking right outside our room. Although we went to Water Safari, it was cold and this hotel pool was very nice, warm, and the decor was fantastic. Right up the road was mini golf at one of the cutest places, the pancake house will forever be my favorite restaurant in all of my travels. If you're looking for a place to stay, and not camping...this place was pretty great.
