When we first arrived, the property felt spacious and offered more than we expected in terms of amenities. However, the lack of cleanliness made it difficult to feel truly comfortable during our stay. Some cosmetic updatesâlike touch-up paint and repairs to walls and doorsâwould go a long way in improving the overall experience.Unfortunately, discovering mouse droppings and encountering a live critter in the game room early in our visit was unsettling and contributed to our lower rating. The game room and that bedroom were unusable after this discovery. Communication with owner was they would have their pest company look into it, but no one came by. There is a doggie door open on the door which allows mice to come and go freely. Also, food was left in the game room fridge. On a positive note, we really enjoyed the outdoor space, especially the hot tub, and the dining room was a highlight. One safety concern: the raised lip between the dining and living room should be clearly marked, as it poses a tripping hazard, particularly for older guests. Communication was EXCEPTIONAL before our stay and better prepared us for what to grab at the store before we left Fresno. Note that it took 1-1/2 hours to drive the windy roads into the parks each direction every time we went to hike. With a 7 night stay, we just found balance.
