The staff were nice and efficient on check-in and the room was really cool (Master Suite) with a great view. Finding a restaurant was tricky in November in Ucluelet on a Monday night but that wasn't the lodge's fault. The baseboard heaters were not working and we let the staff know. Beds were comfortable and the whole space was clean. The decor is getting older (I'd call it a little dated if I had any real interior design talent) but still works fine and was clean. For the price it was definitely just fine. Would stay again.

It was a dog friendly property but there is a nightly pet fee that Expedia did not warn us about. However the property did waive the pet fee as we were unaware of it.

Enjoyed the true waterfront location with rooms that have character. Not the standard boring hotel room but still modern and comfortable. Clean. Great layout with separate entrance area and ample closet space. The wood burning fireplace was a real surprise! Easy parking for our large truck. Helpful staff.

The price is extremely reasonably for what you get, but there was no dresser or luggage stand. I also found it odd that when i requested a fireplace in my room I wasnt told that they were wood burning and that I would be required to purchase logs from the hotel. I enjoyed the ambience but it would have been nice to know there was an additional charge to use the fireplace. They provide some games to borrow during your stay as well as a few snacks and flavoured water.
