The breakfast buffet was outstanding. Many choices. And the French Chinese restaurant was amazing. I thoroughly enjoyed the two-hour long seven course dinner with a fabulous view of Asakusa and the Skytree tower.

Elegant Hotel in a Great Area!

Asakusa View was the last hotel during our recent Japan trip, and I had no clue how 'classy' this one was (in a great way!). The hotel itself is massive and easy to find after exploring the city (you can see it over most buildings). What really got us were the insane Sky Tree views, not only from our room but from our breakfast area! I chose a package that included daily buffet breakfast with options galore - extremely worth it. We were seated along spanning windows allowing us to start the day with views of the entire city. Our room was very spacious with great amenities that were changed each day (including spring water). We had a safe and a fridge that allowed us to bring conbini snacks back to the room. The hotel is very close to transportation options, but plenty is around the location, too. We were about 10 minutes from the mega Don Quijote and Uniqlo as well as Senso-ji Temple. This is a really great area and I'd stay back at this property in a heartbeat! While this trip was only myself and little brother, I believe this is a great hotel for couples and families as well. I'd recommend it to anyone looking for a comfy and clean place to stay in a lovely central location.

The location was great as we were able to experience quite a bit of Japanese culture within walking distance. The interior of the room and especially the bedcovers & rugs need to be updated desperately.

Asakusa Gem

Amazing location. Narita limo bus takes you directly here- so zero hassles. Check in was easy- room was large with spectacular view of Asakusa- ours included skytree tower. Breakfast daily included and a great selection. Walkable to Meiji shrine, Ueno park and Kappabashi !!

The beds are hard and uncomfortable. For the price you pay I expected softer beds however this was not the case. Definitely one of the worst sleeping experiences I've had in Japan. If they upgrade their mattresses to ones that are softer and more comfortable I would stay here again. A rating to the staff at the reception desk, they are truly amazing. Facility was clean and organized, my biggest complain was the lack of comfortable beds, if you are someone who has back issues this is not the place to stay, trust me.

Nice hotel with friendly staff. Except for the bar

Very professional and kind staff at the reception. Stubborn and unfriendly at the bar. After having dinner at the Karakurenai & Makie restaurant (a bit distanced but professional service)I moved to the Ice House bar (open to 10.00 pm, last orders 9.00 pm). I was at the bar counter at 9.02 pm and they refused to serve me a drink. I do respect the Japanese rules and formalities, but this was too much stubbornness. It was not my first stay at this hotel and I might come again next year. But I will certainly not try the hotel bar.
