Excellent location in between Ueno and Nakaokachimachi. Highly recommend for a quick stay in the area before heading out into the bustling Ameyoko area or a few beers with friends

The Annex property was much smaller than anticipated - the tatami mats that we had for the Japanese style room were slightly blackened and the bathroom piping kept clogging so water would pool both in the sink and bathtub. The room was also next to a pachinko parlor so we could hear music the whole time despite the room supposedly being soundproof. The redeeming factor was how close it was to Ueno station - only a few minute walks - and how kind the staff were despite all the issues we faced.

Nice location for shopping, subway nearby, has a sauna, quiet. The air conditioner kept us cold for a wonderful night sleep. Staff speaks English. The place was generally clean. It’s a bit dated and there are some stain here and there but if you want sleep and quiet in the heart of the action this is a good hotel.

The hotel staff were very friendly & accomodating. They treated us well during our stay. The spa was fully included in the price of our stay & it made the whole experience so much more enjoyable. The spa was clean & provided everything from brushes & blowdryers to curling & flat irons. The hotel was located close to the train station, which was convenient. There were tons of restarants & clothing/shoe stores within walking distance. It was very quiet inside the hotel, but very noisy outside from the train & outdoor dining areas. Also, this neighborhood was quite dirty.
