This hotel is more like a repurposed apartment building.
The overall feel is dated in the rooms. Photos online show bright rooms which make them look very modern and inviting.
We were assigned room four zeeo one when we arrived and immediately upon entering there was a very noticable, musty smell to the room. The floors were carpet, which was very worn and dated, likely the cause of the smell.
I tried to get past it but the smell was really overpowering. I started looking online to see if other rooms were available at this location to move to (because I had seen photos of rooms with hardwood floors), and to my surprise, the nightly rate was now quite a bit less than my booking which was made a month in advance.
We asked the front desk if there was a room we could move to without carpet and they moved us to room six zero one.
The difference was night and day, it had hardwood floors and no smell at all, although still, a dated feel overall.
Everything was exceptionally clean, and the beds were comfortable. Staff were very kind and helpful.
There was a kitchen area with sink, full fridge, microwave and a hot plate which we never used. All clean.
Value for money wasn't great for the dated room considering we stayed in very spacious, modern hotels in Tokyo and surrounding areas for much less money.
If you do choose this hotel, avoid room four zero one if possible.
