Everything went smoothly with booking my stay at this rental property. It started to go downhill when the host reached out to me to ask me if I was keeping a party after clearly stating that I wasn’t when I arrive to the property I use the kitchen and the smoke detector went off. The host called me and asked me why the alarm went off and I told him and everything was fine the next morning he called my phone several times after I left his property and I left the place spotless. He threatened to call the police on me and because of the weird behaviour I witnessed earlier. I already recorded the entire property upon arrival as well as when I left. This is very unprofessional. I’ve never had a rental property experience like this before and it’s just very disappointing that this was my first ever experience here on vrbo. Other than that, I had a good day, but my interactions with the host was unprofessional and unacceptable.
