I really like this hotel. I’ve stayed a couple of times, the first time I stayed here was a week after it opened so a lot of of the facilities and capabilities of the hotel were not yet fully operational however the pool area is possibly the best in Townsville and the staff and Design of the hotel were top notch. I recently stayed here again a few years after it’s opened and the hotel is still top-notch. Everything works very comfortable. Great design. My only comment is that you need to walk to the next property at The Ville to get breakfast which is a bit disappointing but not the end of the world.

The room was very comfortable and clean. There was a light not working in the bathroom near the makeup mirror - only mentioning for your maintenance to rectify for next guests. I love the views out to Magnetic Island and The Strand and the balcony is always a great place to relax, but the landscaping is still very disappointing. Our first stay was 12 months ago and you could see how poorly the lawn had been laid - the joins were showing and it was near dead - we put it down to being relatively new and having had a very hot summer, but considering how well done everything is the Ardo building is, it was quite a let down. It has not improved much apart from the lawn looking more established. When you arrive and see all of the dead palm trees around the entrance and on the ocean side of the building they are even worse it detracts from the overall experience. Having said that, the other landscaping around the entrance has matured well and the frangipanis are looking great in the carpark. We will definitely stay at Ardo on our next visit to Townsville, it is the best accom in the City.

Romantic Staycation

Had a couple of technical issues. I’m not surprised as it is a new venue running some state of the art systems. Problems happen. The staff went out of their way to assist. That is the measure of a great company. Problems could not be fixed then and there, however they made sure I was happy. Gold star.

I loved that the area was quiet & not noisy and loud like the Strand area that we also stayed. That area has hoons driving and reving their cars all night every night. I would never stay in that area again. The place was lovely and modern and had a beautiful view from the roof top swimming pool. Only two things let it down for me. The ceiling of the rooms look like they aren’t finished & the pool while so stunning looking was a bit too shallow for me. No deep area.
