I am rating this hotel terrible as we didn’t get to stay there due to Cycline Koji as we were stuck in Rockhampton due to Bruce Highway closed. We phoned to let them know 1st thing in the morning as soon as we knew the roads were closed due to the Cyclone but they would not refund our accommodation which I thought was extremely disappointing that they had no lack of empathy that we could not physically get to the hotel being 8 hrs drive away in a cyclone. Such a bad and uncaring attitude for a hotel in such extreme circumstances.

Stay was good for the purpose; location is great and the overall setup offers a lot, especially the bar and restaurant next to the pool are fantastic. Room was ok, nothing special, but unfortunately, the floor was not very clean and during the night it was quite loud, especially as there is a large fan on the roof that makes quite some noise. Staff is very friendly. Parking works quite well (there is even an undercover parking area right underneath the pool level; entrance at the back of the block).

Very noisy. The rooms are directly outside the pool / bar area and music can be heard from the rooms. Despite the bar bar and restaurant closing at 10pm people still sit in the pool area and drink. If you are after a quiet night this isn’t the place for you. The staff are nice and the location is central but it is very noisy.

The room was very clean and spacious. The person working at the desk was incredibly kind and answered all of my phone questions with patience and care. I just regret not asking him his name because I would like to give him a special mention. The location and cleanliness of the hotel would definitely make me choose it again. It has parking and that is also a great perk.

Our one night stay here was very comfortable and quiet. Whilst our room was very basic and a little aged it was clean, the sheets crisp and the bed large and comfy. The hotel has amazing character and a really good vibe especially the rooftop area. The staff were so friendly, helpful and efficient. We enjoyed a lovely breakfast - delicious omelette and coffee, and a great woodfire pizza dinner. Thank you, we look forward to returning.
