The room was nicely appointed. Well furnished. While all rooms are not the same, the room I occupied was large and had its own bathroom. The AC worked well. Guests and staff were friendly. Relaxed atmosphere. Breakfast was excellent. The water had an odd taste from the tap. The shower was challenging, as the shower head was too high and sprayed unevenly, making it difficult to rinse off soap and shampoo. It was quite and guests were well mannered. Check in was easy.

Right downtown Glen Arbor, beach walking distance, shopping & restaurants close. No need for car really. Comfy bed, wonderful breakfast. Friendly staff. Coffee bar was right outside our room, wake & grab a cup🙂

1st time at a B&B. No TV, no fridge in the room, but that's ok as this is a more social way to vacation. Sitting on the porch talking to other travelers was a nice change.

Great conversation with the owner over Breakfast and learned a few things about the area. Moral mushrooms and ice fishing for perch on Lake Glen. Need to come back in Winter and get some lessons on the ice!

Great Location, Affordable, pleasant stay

This was a very nice two-night stay for us. This is a true "inn" from the yester-year so that made us feel at home (not pretentious). We stayed in one of the smaller rooms (offering two shared bathrooms between 4 bedrooms) so this review is based on one of those rooms. No TV but the internet worked GREAT and that was the main thing for us. The inn keeper and owner were very friendly and accommodating. Communication was perfect. Breakfast could be requested at various times during the morning, and both mornings were very satisfying. I don't think that our particular room had air conditioning, but it was perfectly fine for us. I only mention that because you might want to specifically ask about that first if you are booking a room in July or August. Perfect location for seeing Sleeping Bear Dunes. There are some nice places to eat and a grocery store just down the street as well. Very convenient.

Charming property and great facilities. The only problem was some lack of communication during this holiday period that resulted in the staff not being clear on timing for coffee/breakfast on day of departure. Otherwise great experience.

We really enjoyed our long weekend here. It was right on the border of fall/winter so many other shops were closed for the season but that mad a cozy place to call home even better! And the breakfasts were fabulous!

Stayed for 2 nights, absolutely blown away by the excellent service by the staff and quality of space available to me. Beautiful room, dining area, patio, and amazing location. I did not have the opportunity to have breakfast either mornings but was pleasantly surprised after offered breakfast to last me my long trip home.

Not enough ways to offer enough stars. The Sylvan Inn was everything we hoped and more. Beautifully restored while maintaining the charm of an older home, perfect location, outstanding breakfast and overall care from the owners. Can't wait to return!
