Been coming here for the past few years. Great property that is clean and well stocked. Plenty of room for groups up to 10. Owners are responsive when needed or when there are questions.
Check in was easy, we had the code before we arrived. The property is beautiful! The photos don't get across just how beautiful the view is and how wonderdul the lake is! We brought our kayaks and enjoyed paddling around the beautiful lake, seeing the loon family, heron, ducks & geese everyday. The stars are amazi ng at night! The house has a big kitchen with plenty of space for everyone to move around comfortably. It's stocked with everything you'd need. Nice big family room. Our bedroom was huge, but did not have a closet or a dresser and we had to live out of our suitcases. Some rooms have a bit of storage space, some do not. Master sweet is great with a perfect view of the lake. If you like it dark when you sleep, bring a sleep mask. Hosts are very quick to respond and were very understanding when we had an incident with a window. This was a great find! Frenchman Lake is fabulous!
If I could give it a 6 star I would. All 10 of us were delighted with the accommodations. Our Host and Hostess supply almost everything you will need. Food and drink are about all you need to bring. Tastefully decorated home, huge bedrooms, spacious bathrooms, 2 dining areas, not including the fire pit. Ample parking for 10 guest, their trailers etc...Did not to leave but works calls. Ran into our Hosts downtown. Great people, with great communication. Will definitely book this home again. 6 Stars....
Great location!! Wonderful views, located close to the sxs trails. Rooms were large and cozy, kitchen was very roomy and had everything we needed!! Very hot water and great showers!! Plenty of room to spread out and still enjoy each others company!! The sunrise was absolutely breathtaking as well. I would definitely stay here again, it was exactly what I was hoping for.
Very nice & secluded property out on Frenchman Lake & not far from both Trout Lake the town & the lake. Also not far from other great inland lakes like Brevort & Twins.
Great place. Beautiful view of the lake. It was nice watching the ducks, geese, goslings and deer. The house is clean and comfortable. A few things that would've made our stay better are extra blankets for the beds, throw blankets in the living room to use while watching TV, and luggage racks in the bedrooms. As info to others considering staying here, there's not much around this area. The one restaurant/bar in town that was open during our stay does have good food (great burgers). And there's one small market that has the basics. The house is about 30 mins from St. Ignace where you catch the ferry for Mackinac Island, it's about 50 mins from Sault Ste Marie, and 50 mins from Whitefish Point/ship wreck museum.
This is one of the best places to stay. Great location. Really nice house and clean. Everyone in are group was very happy with everything. This is the second time we have stayed there and definitely will be going back. I would give 10 stars if possible.
This home was perfect for our 4-generation group! It was roomy and had a large driveway/parking area for our trucks and trailers. It was fully stocked with everything we needed and the kitchen was nice and large so we weren't tripping over ourselves. We even spent a little time lounging around the "campfire" (even though we didn't light a fire) and the kids did a little fishing. We would absolutely stay here again! Thanks for a wonderful home away from home!
Our group thoroughly enjoyed our stay. This is the second year weâve stayed here as itâs close to the trails for riding our side by sides. The house is well stocked, exceptionally clean, and in a beautiful location on Frenchmanâs Lake. (Trout Lake is a great little burg to stay in - The Buckhorn Inn is a great place for food and drink.). Jeanne W has done a wonderful job making this home so comfortable that itâs like a home away from home. We will be back!
This was our 2nd time at the property and it was every bit as good as we remembered. Great space for families (or friends) to get together and enjoy a beautiful, quiet setting. The house is well equipped. The owners are very responsive to questions. Loved it and looking forward to visiting again in the future.
Perfect home for a large family gathering - plenty of space to provide privacy for all as well as large common areas for meals and evening time.
Beautiful view of lake, lovely walking, and quiet time outside . This location was perfect for our needs
Our family used this great property to have a weekend away with our extended family. It was great having all the 4 generations together. The house was big and spacious, we loved that it had several king and queen size beds. The owners were very responsive and helpful with all questions we had. Great house and great owners. Mike even brought fire wood everything for s'mores and candy for my children. He went above and beyond to make our stay memorable.
We would definitely stay here again in the future.
We absolutely loved this house and property, it is clean, spacious, beautiful view of the lake, the house was well stocked will everything we needed from the kitchen to the bathrooms. The beds were very comfortable. There were 10 adults and we never felt cramped. The laundry room was very nice for us to keep up on towels and misc item. The front porch was great for us to keep all of our gear organized. We were there riding SXSâs. We had plenty of parking with 2 full sized trucks with trailers, and a short bus with a trailer with a total of 5 SXSâs. The neighbor hood was great, neighbors were very polite. We will definitely stay at this property againâŠ
This home was impeccably clean! It was big enough for our family of 8 adults and we never felt on top of each other! The sunrises with all its natural surroundings were beautiful! We hiked at Tahqaumenon Falls, kayaked at Pictured Rock and biked at Mackinac Island! Great location and easy access to it all! The best part was at end of every active day, we settled in to an evening dinner followed by bonfire chats, laughs, singing and all the sounds of late night forrest and lakeside wildlife ! The starry night sky is truly remarkable too!! This house checked all the boxes for this trip!
Great Location to Tour the UP- Fits large group well
Took a vacation with extended family. Larger group with 3+ generations fit well within the house. 3 bathrooms and bedrooms at 2 ends of the house works well to allow people to spread out as needed- beds are comfortable. Large well stocked kitchen, large kitchen table and living room. Screened sunroom/porch was great for playing cards.
The house is large and clean. It has not been updated and has many older style finishes, but everything has been well maintained and in good working order. AC worked well on hot days, and heat worked well on cold nights. Appliances worked well.
Location is great: 1 day went about 1.5 hours to Sault St Marie and saw the locks, then swang back through lower Tahquamenon Falls for a hike around the island. 1 day went about 1.5 hours in other direction to Munising and Pictured Rock National Park. 1 day went 30 minutes a different direction to St Ignace to pickup the ferry to Mackinac Island. 1 day hung out at the house and rented a little fishing boat from Twin Cedar's resort on the same lake. Was pleasantly surprised by the "IGA" in town, it's no exactly a grocery store, but it can fill in the gaps as needed- and sells fishing licenses.
