Host was very welcoming. Quiet neighborhood, but it was still snow out so unsure if this is just how Oklahoma is in the winter. Basement door didn't fully close, so at night I felt more comfortable just sitting a dining chair there being that we kept hearing sounds throughout the night. There was a strong popcorn smell that went through the house the first night that was kind of odd since we all were not cooking any and all the windows were closed. Hot tub didn't get as hot as we would have liked, but do understand that the temperature outdoors was 40F. Driveway was not shoveled well, but we were able to make it in and out ok, while stairs and sidewalk still had ice in areas. Again, OK, just may not be the best place to travel to in the winter with snow. House seems to be very old, but does have modern upgrades that make it feel cozy. The little step ups in the bathrooms took some getting used to, but decor was very lovely in all bathrooms. Although we found it odd that the 3rd bathroom was right off of the side door and in between the basement and the side door. Overall the house heats up well and the in-house amenities were very satisfying for our short birthday trip.
