Dieses Hotel hat einen großen Namen und davon lebt es! Die Lobby ist sehr beeindruckend, aber danach hört es auch schon auf. Die Zimmer sind sauber, aber wirklich nichts Besonderes: Teilweise recht abgewohnt und ohne das gewisse Etwas, das man in einem solchen Haus erwartet. Das Personal kann leider nicht gelobt werden: Der Empfangsmitarbeiter beim Check-In war noch sehr freundlich, aber ansonsten sind die meisten doch sehr "grummelig". Der Zimmerservice kommt in mehreren über den Tag verteilten Etappen! Bei keiner dieser Etappen hat man es in all den vier Tagen geschafft, mir eine Tasse hinzustellen! Den offerierten Tee und Kaffee muss man somit aus einem Glas trinken. Die Klimaanlage im Zimmer macht unfassbar laute "Gurgelgeräusche", die sich auch nicht abstellen lassen. Das Hotel hat eine schöne Lage am Lac du Tunis - ich hatte ein Zimmer mit Blick hierauf gebucht, aber nicht bekommen!! Das Frühstück ist total langweilig und lieblos in einer sehr sterilen Halle angerichtet. Größter Mangel: Beim Bezahlen hat meine Standard-VISA-Karte nicht funktioniert (nicht das erste Mal in Tunesien)!! Das habe ich so noch nirgends auf der Welt erlebt!! Der Mitarbeiter bot keine Lösung an, sondern zuckte nur mit den Achseln! Ich musste dann zu einer Bank in der Nachbarschaft, von der ich wusste, dass man mit VISA dort Geld abheben kann (das geht nämlich auch nicht überall!), und die Rechnung bar bezahlen! Keinerlei Entschuldigung des Personals für die Unannehmlichkeiten!! Nie wieder!
