Cute home in nice neighborhood of older homes. Desi responded promptly when we had an issue with the entry code and later with another small issue. The layout of the house was perfect for us. We enjoyed our stay and would stay there again!
I would love to give this little house a good rating but I just absolutely cannot. I will start with the one positive. It is evident that a lot of thought and good taste went into the decorating of the house. It is cute. Now, where to start with the rest. No welcome letter from the owner. No house rules or checkout instructions. There was wet laundry in the washing machine when we arrived. In the kitchen, there was a drawer with a fuzzy creature in it. The pot holders had so much dry crusted food on them no one would want to even touch them. Oh yeah, letâs not forget the dead fly in the drawer (see pic). No tv in the second bedroom. The room with the daybed does have a tv, but with a caveat. It doesnât work. Now what makes this the most disgusting house Iâve ever rented, the beds. Both bedspreads are stained. In the room, with the white bedspread, the sheets had three huge/obvious pee stains! (see pics). Fire your cleaning crew! Either the bed was just remade with the dirty sheets on them, or these absolute horrific sheets were put back on the bed. Iâve never seen anything like it! If the stains are unable to come out, then these sheets should be discarded. You cannot make a bed with sheets in this condition, and then expect your guests to sleep on them. I rented a house with multiple beds and ended up sleeping on the couch. Completely grossed out! Couldnât get out of this house fast enough.
My family and I enjoyed our Thanksgiving at this little adorable home. It was cozy and comfortable. Enjoyed the fireplace. Enjoyed the backyard and cornhole. Was in a great location
Great little cottage in the cutest neighborhood youâve ever seen!
We rented the house for a baseball tournament. It had a great central location to everything we needed. The elementary school, park and surrounding neighborhood created a quaint atmosphere. The cottage is a renovated older home. It has great charm and modern facilities while maintaining the integrity of the original home. I love older homes and thought this one was precious!
It was a short stay for me as I was in and out for Christmas parties, but it was so relaxing and felt like home. I really enjoyed the stay and the really soft bed, the place is extremely clean and well kept, canât wait to come back here!
The Callaway Cottage was a lovely place to stay during our recent weekend in Tupelo. Its location was great--only five minutes from the airport, easy access to Gloster St or Coley Rd -- and plenty of great restaurants within a 10-minute drive.
Inside--the house is beautifully decorated. The beds are comfortable. The kitchen had a Keurig (hugely important in my opinion!). And the living room was a great place to relax and have a late evening discussion. (Note that the living room is "sunken" -- 2 steps down from the kitchen.)
We will definitely stay here next time we are in Tupelo!
We were in town to visit family. The cottage was in a great location for us in a very nice, quiet neighborhood, Nice space to relax during our downtime. It had everything we needed.
