A decent hotel for businessmen and tourists

Pros: Rooms, beds (outstandingly comfortable), personnel (friendly and helpful)
Cons: Breakfast and drinks billing system: These have to be paid daily. The music: they have one recording. The coffee (very bad).
Location: There is only one very good restaurant (Portuguese in the area) and a nice church). Nothing else.
9 day stay so we had time to judge the hotel fully. It is best to come by car. It is about 15 kms from Valongo to Porto and there is no train. There is a bus service, which runs regularly, even at night (about 40 minutes from Porto), however. The hotel was clean and the personnel very friendly and helpful and the beds the most comfortable we have slept in in any hotel for ages. Our main complaints are minor: the breakfast and drinks billing system: these have to be paid daily, which is a real hassle. Breakfast should be included in the price even when reserving though a third party company rather than directly with the hotel. Another one is the musak: there is only one recording (admittedly relaxing), but when one stays for 9 days, it can drive one mad; there should be at least three recordings. A third is the coffee, which is awful. All in all, though, we were pleased with our stay.

Das Zimmter war sauber und geräumig. Einziger kleiner Nachteil. kein Safe und Minibar. Das Frühstück war in Ordnung, allerdings musste man zu Stoßzeiten auf einen Tisch warten. Das Personal war freundlich, hilfsbereit und zweisprachig. Der Anschluss zum Zentrum war in der Regel mit eienr Busfahrt von 40 Minuten geregelt. Für das Preis / Leistungsverhältnis war das Hotel gut.

Personnel très accueillant et compétent

Pros: L'accueil, la propreté, le petit déjeuner servi jusque tard dans la matinée et le service des chambres très méticuleux et attentif.
Cons: Garder ce qui marche et améliorer l'utilisation de langues étrangères. La pratique des langues étrangères n'est pas aussi mauvaise.
Location: Séjour à Valongo (Porto/Portugal). L'hôtel est cependant dans un endroit où il n'y a pas d'activités à côté, un peu isolé du reste.
Découverte des hôtels Park Hotel dont je garde un très bon souvenir et je me devrai de recommencer à l'occasion d'un prochain séjour à l'étranger ou en France s'ils existent en France.
