Amazing location and fantastic service. Rooms are simple and clean. Its not luxury but the location is the best. We ate in the lounge and had Sunday brunch in the restaurant both had excellent service and food was very good.

Historic waterfront hotel, fine dining.

The Sylvia is a historic Vancouver waterfront hotel on English Bay. The dining room and pub both look out at the beach and promenade where there is lots of activities year-round. Staff and service are excellent.

Gorgeous view of English Bay from the dining and bar, as well as some rooms. Great old hotel with charm and panache. Comfortable, quiet rooms in the older section, less quiet in the new section. The bathrooms are a bit minimalist, but the shower water pressure was great. Excellent service in the dining room. Great breakfast options with that view!

It has been a few years since we stayed at the Sylvia. The upgrades to the rooms and the dining are fantastic! We expected funky and got comfy, which was very welcome. It's an amazing location, and a very walkable area. The dining and service was excellent. This will be our go-to place in Vancouver.

One of the best located hotels I've ever stayed in - right on English Bay, and literally just down the street from a massive amount of restaurants.
