Comfortable stay while visiting local family

Great location and perfect amount of space for us while we visited family who live on island. Only thing of note would be that many windows lacked covering which made it hard for us east coasters to sleep. We solved for this with eye masks.

Highly Recommend!!

My family and I had a great stay and would love to come back! It was quiet, calm and cozy. This home has everything you need. We planned a weekend to stay in and this location was the perfect place to do so. Beautiful property and a wonderful tree with swing out back. Highchair available which was so convenient, also a great selection of toys and kids books. We happily recommend and hope to come back!

Cozy spot

Lovely location but all of Vashon Island is lovely! Good wifi, quick hot water, super comfortable beds. Lots of bed options but would be crowded with more than four people. No child gate at the top of the spiral stairs (there's a crib in the upper bedroom) so bring one if needed.

I only stayed here for one night while attending a wedding on the island, and I wish I had been there longer! The bed situation was actually better than I thought from the listing - it would be no problem to fit 3 couples in that place.

Beautiful, Cozy and Clean!

We stayed for two nights for a family wedding, and we all really enjoyed this home! It is beautifully and whymsically decorated, was perfectly clean, very cozy and comfortable, and had all the ammenities we needed for the four of us. The kids did go up and down the spiral staircase more than I anticipated, but no one got hurt. And there is a gate at the bottom of the staircase to block it off, for a break. There was a 4 cup coffee maker, but only instant coffee. So bring your own bag of coffee for brewing if you want some. Otherwise, there are wonderful coffee shops and restaurants just 6 minutes away. We enjoyed everything we had at The Hardware Store (a restaurant), Vashon Island Coffee Roasterie, and Casa Bonita. They had fun toys for the kids to play with, some kid dishes and silverware, the mini split heat pump was wonderful for cooling and heating the space when we needed it, and the bathroom was stocked with towels and wash clothes for all of us. The queen bed had a mattress that felt more like a futon mattress, but we slept fine after our extra busy days. Thank you to the hosts for creating such a special little space to enjoy a visit on the island!

Truly enchanting

The cottage is adorable and very well appointed. More spacious than you’d think. Grounds are lovely, close walk to beach. Fire pit with chairs and grill available.

Cute and Quaint

This was such a cute and quaint cottage to stay in. It is small so you’ll need to contain yourself to your suitcase or it may start to feel crowded. Nevertheless, myself and family had a lovely stay and enjoyed the short trip to the KVI beach as well as the town itself. The kitchen was lovely to cook in. Be prepared for a very small coffee pot if you and your guest drink coffee just know it’s it’s a tiny hotel coffee pot so you’ll be remaking coffee a lot. Otherwise this place was beautiful and the exact experience and get away we were looking for. Can’t wait to visit again.

Wonderful wedding weekend stay

This was the perfect place for a small group of friends to stay while on the island for our wedding weekend. They thoroughly enjoyed the property and had nothing but good things to say about its cleanliness, comfort, and location. We would absolutely book here again!

Enjoyed our little stay in this cozy cottage. Too bad it doesn’t have a dish washer but otherwise a very nice place, location, etc. a few assortments of tea but no coffee pods for the coffee maker.

Peaceful get away

We had a lovely time visiting this peaceful little cottage. The neighborhood was very quiet and the house felt private. The yard was wonderful and we saw plenty of deer. An easy walk to the beachfront/park.

Weekend family vacation

Check in was very easy. House included many things that immediately made it feel welcoming for our kids; kids books, bin of toys, music instruments, and colored pencils. The beds were all set up for us and they were comfortable. Heated floors in the bathroom were a nice perk. Only superficial negatives; the freezer was running very loudly and frozen on the inside, the washer was mildew/moldy, and the detergent was empty.

Peaceful cottage

We stayed here while visiting Seattle and took the ferry each day. It was a lovely place to stay and owner has clearly put thought into the items we found there to stay with small kids. There was a crib (in darkest room), noise machine, kids toys, books and high chair. Hot water wasn’t working on the first morning of our stay but it was easy to communicate the problem and it was fixed by the evening!
