Property was perfect! More than enough room to stretch out. The patio/pool were relaxing. The beach was a quick walk as advertised or you could drive 2 minutes down the road to the park where there were 2 restaurants, ice cream shop and turtle rescue center. The area was really quiet and for our staff we felt like we had the entire beach to ourselves.
Casa Azul is just as advertised. The home is well built and in a peaceful setting. The Owner's caretakers (Lauren and Justin) live just down the same street and are super responsive to needs or questions for guests. We really loved the option of "hiring" the Owner's SUV for the week rather than messing with a car rental company at the airport. We highly recommend booking Casa Azul to prospect guests that like to cook and seek to have the amenities of a house over a resort. The closer, walkable beach access is adequate, but it's a very short jaunt to park at the Playa Junquillal lot to enjoy the waves and sand, too.
Our stay at Casa Azul property was an amazing experience. We found the property in excellent condition. The kitchen was totally equipped and had a nice outside grill. The landlord, Michael, was the greatest host we have ever had in our travels. He made sure everything was just right. He has a wonderful property manager, Justin, who lives close by. Justin was extremely knowledgeable of the area, providing places to go, timely responses to questions and taking care of any requests we had.
We found a number of nice restaurants within 2 to 5 miles of the property and many beaches to pick from. But one of our favorite things to do was to get in the pool. Perfect temperature like bath water.
My wife and I would highly recommend this property for your stay in Costa Rica. Nearby is also a touring company that will pick you up and bring you back on any of the excursions you may choose.
Perfect play for a beach holiday! Highly recommend this location for anyone looking for the perfect balance of access to the top sites in Guanacaste and yet just a couple minute walk to the best beach. Would stay again and again.
Everyone in our group were all very happy and want to come back. The location is great, the walk to the restaurant/bar near by was perfect for sunset and the beach was very close too. Justin and lauren were absolutely wonderful as well, anything we needed at all? They helped with and were very great to communicate with.
We stayed at Casa Azul for the month of January. Restaurants and grocery store are nearby, providing options for eating out or cooking in. Lauren and Justin, the property managers, live nearby and were extremely helpful in addressing all our needs. It is a short walk to a lovely, secluded beach and a short drive to other beaches to watch incredible sunsets. The kitchen was equipped with basic items. Living area comfortable, bedrooms good size with plenty of storage space. The pool was a nice way to cool off when the temperatures rose into the 90s! If you are looking for a rental a bit off the beaten path, but close enough to everyday conveniences, this is it!
We had the best time during our stay in casa azul. It was me, my partner and our 11 months old baby boy. The casa is just like the pictures! We were worried before our stay because of the horrible comment, but I guess we didnât stay at the same vrbo because everything was perfect! Justin and Lauren, the property managers, live close by and are always replying real quick to our questions or demands. They set up a bed for our baby! The pool is crystal blue. It had to get clean during our stay and Justin called the pool guy that came straight away! There is a nice patio set and some hammocks. The beach is literally 3 minutes walk and is so calm and beautiful. There is a bunch of local restaurants walking distance and a super market too. We give a 10/10 about our stay! Definitely recommend and would go back!
We arrived after a long travel day then spent 2 hours cleaning. The duvet in the main bedroom reeked of animal funk and we had to carry it out of the house. We did not use that room. The sinks were not clean. Which is weird because mops and brooms were piled up in the dining room. We went to wash the duvet but found the dryer stunk too. We disinfected that and emptied and cleaned a thick layer of goo from the dryer basket which was a disgusting process. After all that work we went outside to relax on the very nice poolside terrace. There is only one outdoor chair, so we sharedâŠ.. A swim
would have been nice but the
pool was a murky deep green. The kitchen was barely equipped. One coffee maker that made 3 cups at a time. No pots big enough to boil pasta or rice in. Two wobbly frying pans and two dull knives. We had been looking forward to cooking in the home, but had to eat out instead. The word disappointing does not cover it. All these problems are easily solvable, but no one seems to have bothered⊠We have pics to document these observations.
Great house, fully equipped to provide an excellent holiday for a family of 4.
The little blue house is perfect for a family of 4 or 2 couples. Short walk to a long, quiet, and beautiful beach. Sunsets at the beach are great. Location is good for exploring Guancaste area. Several resturaunts close by and small grocery right up the road. Kitchen was fully equipped, and the living area was perfect for movie nights with the family. The pool is just big enough to cool off at the end of the day. We were able to see a troop of howlers while walking to the beach. As well as a huge iguana. We really enjoyed our stay. Thank you.
