GOOD - Hotel and rooms were very clean, the staff was very friendly, welcoming and would do whatever they could to please you. Great location too! BAD - Horrible air conditioning, room never went below 20.5C. Breakfast was limited, with soggy wet scrambled eggs and gross coffee. $30 Euros for mixed alcohol drinks, ridiculous!

Hotel was great. I think though that I might have been shilled by the VERY early morning night manager. I told him that I had used several mini bar items and he advised that he couldn't take the charge on a CC but would have to pay cash. It was only about $35 USD but then I saw a $35 charge on my CC in addition to my room charges ($3000). I'd stay there again in a heart beat but I would NOT trust a night manager again...

A truly lovely, old school hotel. Beautiful rooms, charming and attentive staff and a perfect location - close , but not too close to the action of Venice. Our focus this trip was the Biennale, which was walkable. We highly recommend The Metropole.
