Short Venice Exursion

On our way to visit family friends in Vicenza, I took my daughter and son (12 and 21) to Venice for a day and overnight excursion. We found this property a perfect fit for us in size and location the the sights we were most interested in. Also it's located right next to a COOP grocery, so super convenient to groceries, which is a big deal for my family!

Great location overlooking a small square with all necessities within a very short walk.

The lack of the fifth star is related to two minor issues: lack of lock on the main entry to building, and spartan pillows and mattresses. Other than those two minor details, this was a wonderful location for my family of 5 to explore the city.

Venice Apartment

The apartment was lovely and had everything we needed! Our check-in was a little challenging as we didn’t receive the directions to the property which can be a little tricky and communication with the property manager was somewhat sporadic. However, the location was lovely and we enjoyed our staying in Venice!

Hard to find and too many stairs

The bed was extremely comfortable. We thought we were getting a terrace and only found it the last day. Hidden door. Had we know we had to climb 60 stairs to get to the apartment, we never would have booked it. The customer service were absolutely amazing to deal with.

the apartment was quite large which was nice. Also when I asked for recommendations for a water taxi, they were kind enough to give me a recommendation. However, there were ants in both beds in the master bedroom, the bathroom in the center of the apartment smelled very badly like sewage, there was no air conditioning in rooms besides 2 bedrooms, the living room never cooled, mold and ants in small blue bath shower, dishes were dirty, green shudders were shut like a dungeon, and dishwasher did not work. I am so very sorry to complain, but we book apartments regularly and this was not a good experience. Because it is a beautiful unit, I thought you should know all of this.

Unfortunately, we had a very unsettling experience with this unit and with Wonderful Italy, the management company. During an early August stay, there was an attempted break-in into our twrrace apartment. When we returned from dinner we found someone had gained entry into the building an attempted to knock our door in. They were nearly succesful with the lock and metal hardware bent and doorframe broken to the point that the door could not be closed/locked once we entered. The exposed keypad entry system, poor lighting, and lack of cameras may have contributed to the vulnerability of the unit. Despite being a management company of thousands of units, there was no ability to contact a live person after normal business hours and our messages were unanswered. On top of feeling violated, we were forced to stay in an unsecure apartment overnight. My three subsequent communications to the company about this experience have been unanswered. Beware and think twice before booking this unit and others managed by Wonderful Italy. Definitely was not a wonderful experience.

Apt was as described though furnishings in need of updating. Comfortable beds. The apt itself was clean. The cleanliness rating reflects the poor condition of the building entrance. Entrance to the building is dark, stairs and carpets are in disrepair creating a risk for falls. Very large sticky stains on landings and stairs, exacerbated the risk of falling. These were not cleaned after repeated attempts through emails to management. The last of which, (providing the pictures they required) was met with no response. The entrance to the terrace was difficult to navigate and the ‘short’ door did not fully open. As a result we chose not to access it. Very disappointing. The kitchen needs a coffee pot.

Appartamento come da annuncio ubicato vicino al ponte di Rialto un pĂČ scomodo da raggiungere il terrazzo mancano alcune cose in cucina da poco (visto il prezzo a notte) ma utili: accessori da cucina (ascigucapiatti ecc.), macchina caffĂš, capsule per lavastoviglie. Complessivamente da consigliare per persone agili che non abbiano problemi a fare le scale

Excellent location and comfortable bedrooms. Kitchen facilities not great. Nothing to make coffee with. No kettle and We had to buy our own cafetiĂšre. Otherwise we had a great stay!

Large apartment with an added bonus of a small rooftop terrace.

We loved how spacious the apt was. We rented both apartments in the building for our families of 12 people. It was very quiet and had a pretty view of the canal.

Wonderful stay!

We absolutely loved the accommodations! The location was perfect. A close walk from Rialto Bridge & the apartment was clean & comfortable. We also loved the rooftop deck, what a treat! Would stay here again in a heartbeat if we’re ever in Venice again. Thank you!

Mooi appartement op een geweldige plek

Het verblijf zag er net zo goed uit als op de foto's. Erg ruim en de locatie was fantastisch. Ook het dakterras was erg fijn, niet groot of luxe, maar wel erg leuk om zo over de stad te kunnen kijken. Het contact met de verhuurder verliep goed, snel en soepel. We waren dus echt tevreden, een aanrader dus!

Overall very good, in a great location

Overall, this property was very nice. However there were a few quirks. I would stay there again, in spite of the few quirks. Pros: Location was great. Right on a beautiful canal, with beautiful views from the terrace. Clean. Spacious, especially for Venice. More than enough room for the 4 people in our group. Air Conditioning works well. Cons: It's on the 4th floor (for americans at least, Italians consider it to be on the 3rd floor, because they don't count the ground floor) When we arrived they told us it was on the 2nd floor, but that is really the 3rd floor for americans, and that is just where the front door is and you have to climb another flight of stairs to get to the actual apartment. No blankets. Could not find blankets anywhere in the apartment. Luckily it was warm enough when we were there that we just turned off the Air Conditioning and the sheets were enough. Electrical wiring in one of the bathrooms was kind of sketchy.
