The house was so nice and clean with very comfortable beds and bedding in every room! Kitchen was great for cooking. The outdoor furnishings were just as nice. We brought our pontoon boat to entertain the 2 Grandsons. We definitely enjoyed our stay!

Place was beautiful and accommodating. With being on a river there are flying bugs and spiders to contend with but the covered porch made it a non-issue. Beautiful dock to enjoy sunsets! Very relaxing family weekend!

Beautiful house all the way around. Spotless and well stocked with everything needed to ensure a worry free experience. There was plenty of paper products in the kitchen and bathrooms, liners for excessive trash, towels and sheets, soaps in all the bathrooms as well as coffees and teas. No complaints there. However, one of the bedrooms was hot the entire time and one of the tv’s was not working.The screened in porch area was disappointing. Seating was all wet (due to rain I’m sure). Gas grill was totally dirty and didn’t look clean enough to use so we decided to avoid that altogether. In spite of the heat we chose not to turn on the ceiling fans because there was huge amounts of dust accumulated.The pictures of the pergola area seemed bit deceiving as it was nowhere near as clean as depicted online. We had to spend some time trying to clean all the chairs and tables from dead bugs, spiders and spider webs so we could sit outside.The overhead string lights were dirty so the general ambiance was not very welcoming. I have to mention that the storage room with all the river toys I.e. life vests, kayaks, giant lily pad etc.was far from neatly arranged as representative on the website. Everything was strewn about, dirty and wet, full of bugs and river water. It was extremely foul smelling. That was highly disappointing to say the least because that’s what sold us on this rental. We’ll try another rental next time.

Best vacation site ever

Our family has been traveling through new roads for generations. This was the first time we rented a VRBO on False River. The property was immaculate. The ownership was always available professional and very courteous. Highly recommend this VRBO rental to all.

Nice water front get away during LSU graduation

This place provided a great quiet get away for my son’s graduation from LSU. We enjoyed sitting on the dock and taking in some of the water activities. Overall place was clean but the boardwalk and dock had a lot of cobwebs. Didn’t detract from our visit and may have just been a condition of the time of year. I highly recommend this place and wouldStay again for sure!

You won’t regret booking this one!

In town for a family wedding. Place is beautiful with rustic charm. Absolutely NOTHING missing. Had kids 1-5 with adults. They had extra coffee filters,seasoning etc. all the little things you would have to pack up and bring are on site. Even had high chairs, playpens, etc on top of all the river accessories like life jackets, floats, etc you would need for a great weekend. Bedding was amazingly comfortable and so were the queen floor mattresses stored in the closet. They made this place a breeeze to relax and enjoy without all the hassle of traveling! Will definitely be back!

INACCURATE LISTING. Renters Beware! Not Premier Host- Charged 194 not on invoice, NOT CLEANED WHEN

Besides the misleading info on the listing, our party of 10 arrived after a long day of travel to an unclean house. The house was uncleaned, messy, sticky floors and dirty towels in the washer. We were traveling with toddler (1) that needed high chair and travel crib (listed in listing) and none in house. There was also no single beds in any of the bedrooms. We had 9 adults and 1 Toddler. We assumed that 1 adult would sleep in one of the single beds. No way was she expecting to sleep on a floor mattress. We immediately called the (Kingdom Hospitality Co listing) and got no answer. We contacted a customer service rep from VBRO who said they would contact host. After 1 hour we got a call back from Kingdom Hospitality Co employee who said she would get the cleaning crew over immediately. She told us to go enjoy dinner (on them) and it should be done when we got back. And that the crib and high chair would be brought over for us to use. We came back at 9:30 pm, and the cleaning staff was still working. We waited for them to finish, and the high chair was there but still no travel crib. (We found the case empty). We also noticed no single beds any of the bedrooms like listing stated. And for the floor mattresses, no linen for them. After 11PM a cleaning company staff came over and brought the travel crib, and new sheets for the floor mattress and apologized. Does not sleep 14. Possibly 10 guests. Bedrooms only have 1 bed each. There is NO twin bed in any bedroom. Two-floor

Weekend Girlfriends Mahjong Trip

The property was exactly what we needed. Plenty of room, beautiful view on the water, and the home was just as beautiful. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed and all the beds had the most comfortable bedding. We spent our mornings playing mahjong on the screen in porch while drinking coffee and looking at the water. During the day we went shopping in Saint Francisville and had dinner at the Myrtles. We will definitely be going back. The town of New Roads was so cute. It was raining the day we left and the owner gave us an extra hour to check out which was so nice. The only suggestion we had for property is to mark the long driveway with house numbers, we had some trouble seeing it in the night.

Wonderful Stay!

We had a fantastic time. The property was exactly as described, clean, and well-maintained. The host was extremely responsive and provided clear instructions for check-in and check-out. The screened in porch was a highlight for our family. The location was perfect but I just wish we were told no water anywhere near the dock. I’m glad I went before my family so I could warn them not to bring the boats. We would most likely stay here again!

Vacation from Vacation!

This is a very beautiful lakefront home with a lot of amenities. We stopped here to get some rest, driving back on our family vacation, and enjoyed the serene peacefulness of being on the water. The kids enjoyed the paddle boarding and the kayak as well. My only regret was not being able to stay longer. I would definitely recommend this home, and would LOVE to stay again!

Wish we had longer

This property was beautiful. We stay in/along False river once a year due to having family in the area. Each time we choose a different house because they're all beautiful. This property was no different. It offered amenities such as a outdoor netted area for seating and a gorgeous view of False River. The home was just large enough for my entire family along with my elderly grandma. The only hang ups experienced was the struggle with the flameless fire pit and limited space for trash however the owner answered appropriately. While we we're not ble to figure it out, the owner responded fairly quickly to where we knew we wouldn't be able to use the grill and come up with a different solution. All in all thw stay was fairly uneventful and restful
