Fabulous property and one of the most unique places weâve ever stayed. The location is convenient to downtown shops and restaurants and we were most grateful for the recommendations we received from the host.
Great views; easily accessible to downtown shopping, restaurants and bars. I would highly recommend this property. The bed was comfortable, and the tubs and showers were great. All kitchen amenities were available. there are 2 flights of stairs to climb with luggage just FYI.
Initial visit was for my bucket list to see (& touch) my last Ironclad {USS Cairo} from the Civil War. Loft is gorgeous (views of river, sunsets & night lightning storms). Girlfriend safely walked solo every morning! Antiques- The Open Market {ask to see pictures of American Picker Mike Wolfe} & Levee Street Market Place. New Civil War Museum & Old Depot Museum (I donated 3 childhood 1960's HO train engines plus a dozen Ironclad books). Best food was Walnut Hills & 10th South Rooftop Grill (dine in for sunset view plus carry out- bring binoculars). Multiple high vantage points near Bridges. Crossed into LA with sunroof & windows open, after a storm had passed and cooled temps, to check out Grant's Canal. Must for Irish folks. And of course why not visit Mississippi's most Haunted House McRaven! Need at least 3 full days to fully appreciate the History & Hospitality.
We stayed in a home, not this loft we booked. There was some sort of mix up and we were sent to a home to check in. It was our first VRBO experience, we were tired, and didnât know what to do. Contacted the host the next morning to let them know we had checked out a day early since it wasnât the loft we thought we had booked. We were already over halfway home but the host offered to get us in the right property. It was a glitch on their end and they sent us the check-in to the wrong property. It was a beautiful house inside with a lot of original details. Wish weâd known to contact the host immediately upon arrival so we didnât miss out on the town.
The owners have done a great job of taking this old building and turning it into a lovely place. Speakeasy is a good term considering the doorway is between two businesses and can be easily overlooked. Then the long stairwell leads you up to this great apartment. Once inside, the loft is well-appointed with a lovely kitchen, living area, bedroom, and two very nice bathrooms. We would certainly stay here again!
This place was an amazing find. Exactly as listed and even more beautiful honestly. Canât rave about it enough. If just feels like itâs full of historyâŠlike if these old walls could talk! The area was close to all the attractions of Vicksburg and felt very safe. Wonderful experience.
Many charming features including a historic loft in a historic neighborhood. Great walking accessibility to museums and restaurants and brewery. We loved baths bathtubs. Basic amenities and equipment for making meals; could be better. The entry stairs are not for the physically challenged but provide great exercise and encourage one to pack lightly. The loft grew on us as the week went on.
We were honestly blown away of the beauty of this property. The owners are so kind and accomodating, and the property exceeded our expectations. We will be booking here for every future trip to Vicksburg. Everything you need is there, within walking distance to pretty much everything. The property is clean, well stocked, and will take your breath away at its beauty!
The loft was very clean, exactly as described and was in a perfect location. There are more than enough options for food, drinks and entertainment within walking distance that driving during our stay was not necessary. Street parking was convenient as well. The modern updates to the loft while maintaining the classic features was a nice touch.
My husband and I loved exploring historical Vicksburg. We enjoyed staying at this speakeasy. We loved the old wood floors and exposed brick. We loved the location downtown which was close to several good food options, shopping, and museums. I also was very impressed with how clean the property was. Thank you for letting us stay!
My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay! This historic apartment loft was a dream for us. We chose to visit Vicksburg for the history and what better why to experience that than to stay in a 1800âs loft. The floors look to be original with a story to tell. We were very comfortable, soft bed, with modern appliances and places that count, the bathroom!đ we met our host who is very friendly and recommended wonderful places to eat. I highly suggest you stay here!
Perfect place to spend our 40th wedding anniversary. Great location within walking distance for good food, drink and music. Navigating the stairs was a little tricky but every thing else was perfect. It was an all around great stay

Needed a halfway point on our trip home from Florida, great place to stay and chill. Rooftop bar across the street was awesome as well. Loved the exposed brick and ceilings.
