we reserved our room on Expedia app but before I hit submit I called to ask a couple of questions. My husband doesn’t like to put his card info on the internet so I put in mine, while I’m on the phone with someone from the hotel I ask her if it’s ok if I put my card info in but we pay for the room with my husbands card when we get there. She says ‘yes that’s fine, as long as we have a card to reserve the room then she says I’ll put this in the notes.’ She tells us thank you and they will see us soon! We live 2 hours away. Friday, as we are getting closer to our hotel I open my email to see that they not only canceled our reservations but gave our room away!! So I call to confirm this. The gentleman on the phone says ‘yes they are cancelled but you can upgrade for a different price! I told him No, that was on the hotel! He then tells us we can upgrade to a deluxe king for the same price, but not until we were told ANOTHER lie…after we swiped our card to pay for our ‘upgraded’ room, he then said “we didn’t have a king, so we got you into a deluxe double queen, is that ok?” I guess it was ok since we swiped our card already! The room stunk like cigarettes, the hallways even smelled horrible! The sheets on the beds weren’t on correctly, and they were uncomfortable! We will definitely not be staying there again!!
