Nice stay

Very nice and clean hotel, friendly staff, nicely designed rooms with lots of power outlets. In room coffee. One small drawback, we had an room adjoining to another with a door that was screwed close. There was still a gap under the door resulting in bad soundproofing. You could hear neighbours TV and phone conversations. We told reception and asked for towels to roll up and "soundproof". Tovels were promptly delivered. Very nice hotel, a bit off from city center but with a car it doesn't matter, only a 6 min drive. I would certainly return and would recommend The Vic to others.

The room itself was okay. The beds were good as was the updated bathroom. The carpet might have been new a few years ago but looked awful. Was afraid to take my shoes off. The outside of the building is so dated and is actually off-putting. All staff I spoke with were polite and helpful.

The hotel is not a four star hotel, it’s actually a three star according to Google. The property is really old, elevator doesn’t even have safety permit, the room door doesn’t have the chain lock, no water provided, fridge is leading, window can be widely open without any safety features, so be careful if you are staying here with children. Definitely don’t recommend it, I got allergy staying here and Expedia agent doesn’t help me relocate or solve the issue, I had to buy Lysol to clean the room myself.
