We had an absolutely incredible stay at the Island House! The home was so comfortable, clean, quiet (no roosters!) and incredibly well stocked with everything we needed. The location is perfect - close to both towns, as well as the beaches. Having a beautiful, ocean view and a pool was the icing on the cake! Thank you for a lovely visit!

The whole experience couldn’t have been easier or smoother. Communication was great. The house was comfortable, the pool was very nice. The only thing that was missing was a shade umbrella for lounging by the pool.

Lisa’s place was fantastic. The privacy and the views were unreal. House was adorable and provided everything we needed. The outdoor shower was the best!!!! Good size pool, perfect for a first thing in the morning swim. Lisa also provided a beautiful charcuterie box which was brilliant after a long travel day. Can’t wait to return!

Delightful setting

This house is very well equipped and comfortable. The aesthetic of the pool and deck area are especially nice. Pool was great for morning and evening swims.We enjoyed opening the double doors to the lovely tropical air and sitting on the front poch most mornings.(never needed the AC.) The location is not really that walkable to anything but being high on a dead end road provided security and was very peaceful. Loved the warm water and stunning beaches. We had a wonderful week on Vieq u es.

Spent 2 weeks again this year at our favorite home away from home in Vieques. It's the perfect spot for lots of reasons: the location, the view, the pool and everything you need in a very sweet place that is fully accommodated. Lisa is a wonderful host who is quick to respond and always helpful as is Aurelio who takes care of things on the island in so many ways. It truly is a little piece of paradise.

Jeanne and I loved the Island House. The location was perfect, close to everything on Vieques with a very private and quiet location. Everything about the place was as the listing stated one of our best trips to Vieques. The pool was great with plenty of outdoor seating and an outdoor shower for when you return from the beaches. This is a dream vacation house. It is spacious and well appointed. We didn't cook much, but we certainly could have. The pool is dreamy. Absolute peace!

If you want busy and loud go elsewhere. I traveled here as a retreat with my partner- and all we wished for was more time here. This place is for people like us, who work hard and look for peace. What an oasis! The place is well equipped. The pictures don’t do it justice. The hospitality of the host and manager were unparalleled. We will be back! Highly recommended.

Our stay in Vieques was magical. From the sunny days to the horses that visited us on the porch and the endless views of the Caribbean. Our property was close to the beaches and the perfect place to relax. There is a school next door but other than drop off we never heard from the students. The outdoor shower was amazing!!! We will definitely visit again next year ☀️

My husband and I had a wonderful stay at this property once again! The view is incredible! The pool is amazing and the kitchen lacks for nothing. The location at the top of the hill is very private. The only visitors we had were horses. We can't say enough about the property manager also. We had just a simple issue of the bathroom light not working and he immediately addressed it with a brand new fixture installation. He also made sure the grill had a full tank of propane, knowing we like to grill out.

The house is perfect for two people. Stocked well with appliances and spices, etc.. There was always a cool breeze so we never used either of the two ACs, just the ceiling fans. So relaxing to come home from a day at the beaches then jump in the pool before dinner. And the nighttime sky -- AMAZING! Little light nearby so you could see galaxies, bring your star guide app!

Lisa was wonderful to deal with and Aurelio couldn't have been more hepful! The property was clean and welcoming. The pool is even more beautiful in person! Gorgeous views from the porch, including the occasional peacock strolling by. I loved the location, the layout and the views this property offers. I will most definitely return for another stay.

Relaxation in paradise 101

If you enjoy nice quiet and cozy vacation this is the place for you. Tucked away on a hill, overlooking the beaches, and it’s above the hill top. Only a 10 minute drive to all main beaches, if you’ve made this venture this far out-one must visit the Bioluminescent Bay and Playa Negra (the walk is well worth it). If you’re a late eater make sure to stop by local supermarket there; is a full kitchen and local restaurants stop serving around 9pm but open for drinks till 10pm. The owner and her staff are extremely courteous and helpful. And they can direct you to enjoy your getaway.

I’d give it 10 stars if I could

Go, it’s great. You’re on top of the world and nothing is too far away (if you are brave about driving narrow, twisty roads at night). There’s literally nothing to complain about. I even like that there are plenty of hooks, drawers and hangers so you can organize your stuff. Things you need for the beach are at the ready. Go on a snorkel tour with Sarah from Crystal Clear.

Quiet relaxing week with Peacock neighbors

My wife and I had a very relaxing week in the bungalow among the sounds of morning doves, peacocks, and coqui. The size of the Bungalow was perfect for two people. Air conditioning worked very well and the mattress was comfortable for great sleeping; I’m pretty picky about mattresses. There were a couple options for our perfect cup of morning coffee. The pool deck and porch areas have such comfortable lounge chairs and seats that 3 out of 7 days we just stayed at the house until dinner time. Many restaurants are within a 15 minute drive. Stove and microwave made preparing a breakfast or warming leftovers easy. The bungalow is surrounded by tall, well kept bushes and trees making the pool area and outdoor shower very private and secluded. I HIGHLY recommend renting a Jeep to ensure you make it up the driveway.
