Nice house for a big family get together. The property manager was very responsive to concerns and issues. However, leaving the windows open at night instead of having the air conditioning on with the rooster in the neighborhood was a bit of a drawback. Otherwise a wonderful house and good rental experience.
Excellent Large Home with Beautiful Views in Quiet Neighborhood
I stayed here with my partner and each of our immediate families as a home base during our wedding weekend, and it was perfect. The home had everything we needed and everyone was happy. Quite the feat with 12 adults and 6 kids!
Great location with a well appointed kitchen. There even was a second fridge, which was helpful. Home was clean with plenty of room to spread out and sleep. Nice off street parking. However, we did struggle with 2 items during our stay. The first was that we were required to text with one of the owners every time we wanted the hot tub heated, which was very inconvenient, and required both coordination with all the the various family members staying with us and removed any spontaneity. And if we didn't tell them when we were finished, they kept reaching out to me to ask if we were done. Secondly, we were not able to control any of the thermostats, which they kept too warm for our liking. On the first night, a few of us opened the windows to try to get some relief, and were informed the next morning that we were not complying and that they had software that told them if the windows were open or not. For the final two nights, they agreed to lower the temperature for us, but I wish that we didn't have to go back and forth with the owners in order to get some resolution. The owners represented this as being a "personal concierge", which is not how I would have characterized our experience.
The house was very clean and comfortable. Best for extended families because of the adjoing rooms. Note that rooms 3-4-5 all share a Jack and Jill bathroom and room 6 must share the en suite bath in room 7. Room 8 has a private en suite and rooms 1 and 2 share an en suite. It was too cool to use the pool in Dec. but the hot tub was great. You do need to text the owner to turn on the hot tub or adjust the heat but the response was always immediate. There were plenty of towels and kitchen items.
We recently stayed in Vista in preparation for our daughterâs wedding, and it was absolutely perfect. The home provided plenty of room for our entire family, ensuring everyone was comfortable and relaxed. The location was ideal, making it easy to manage last-minute errands and enjoy the area. One standout feature was the spacious kitchenâit truly became the heart of our stay. The large oven was a lifesaver, accommodating the baking of multiple wedding cakes with ease. This made our preparation not only convenient but also memorable. We highly recommend this place for anyone planning a family gathering or special event. It exceeded our expectations and contributed to a wonderful wedding experience!
We stayed at Johnâs property for 5 days. We are a family of 18 (ages 7-84). We enjoyed ourselves! John was a very helpful and super responsive host. He couldnât have been more helpful.
There were a few things that needed updating, though. The jacuzzi had quite a few broken tiles. The pool water wasnât cleaned/refreshed while we were there. The carpets really need cleaning. The bathroom near the pool had a broken sink and the toilet didnât flush properly. The couch was ripped in a number of spots as well (John was replacing the couch as we left, though).
We had fun at Johnâs property, but it did feel like it needs more attention. Thx.
Everything was nice-- plenty of rooms, nice family room, lots of bathrooms, beautiful pool. The only thing that would have made the stay nicer is if we had the ability to change the thermostat/air conditioning or open the windows. The rooms got warm and stuffy--making it a bit difficult to sleep.
