Had a lovely stay at The Pacifica over Memorial Day weekend. All of the amenities needed to make the stay comfortable. 5 minutes from Hawaii Volcanoes National Park. Jennifer and her team were super communicative. Would stay there again if the opportunity arises.
The apartment is large and well furnished; it has a great Hawaiian jungle setting, with very large and Ventilated windows to overlook that jungle. The kitchen is superb. The gas fireplace works well and is great at night to just sit in front of. Nice, large bathroom with hot water shower (but please conserve). The king mattress is very comfortable. I only needed two things: a bath mat and a regular coffee or espresso maker (Keurig provided)
Beautiful up in the tree fern canopy. Gas 'fireplace' quickly made it cosy warm after a day out in the rain. Clean, all basic kitchen needs present(and one of the best knife sets in a rental ever made cooking prep a pleasure), Jennifer responded quickly. It is a damp area so we just made sure to open some windows during dry times.
Parking was difficult Especially after returning from a night view of the volcano/ two vehicles in the small space meant inching back and forth in about a 20 point turn while my grandson scrambled around checking to make sure we didnât dink our rental car. This is advertised as a one bedroom, but really the king bed is in the living room kitchen and only the bathroom is separate. Both mattresses were less than I was hoping forThe bathroom seemed OK until I discovered that the toilet seat had a broken hinge and would slide around unless you were very careful. The manager seemed to be aware of this as she later asked me if her handy person could come in at some time and fix it and yet there was no warning given to us ahead of time. I am 76 years old and it easily could have been a much worse situation.I asked to be at least partially reimbursed and received no response. I forgot to ask if they used perfumed laundry detergent, which I am sensitive to so thatâs on me â just a heads up to other people who donât like to lay their head on a perfumed pillowcaseThe hot tub was unavailable but the price didnât reflect the situation.
Gorgeous land of huge houseplants envelopes rustic cedar cabin
This place was so fun with it's big floor-to-ceiling windows, skylights, handmade door pulls, big timber beams, and cedar walls & ceiling. Outside and thru the windows, I loved the numerous anthurim plants in bloom and the unfurling fern palms. The Coqui frog calls in the evening were so unique and helped us fall asleep. Jennifer was quick with responses and checking in with us for what we need. Very nice. Just as warned, definitely bring your drinking and cooking water. Always use caution with gas stoves. Open a window. There is an electric space heater in the corner.
Cozy and rustic. Full of character and atmosphere. The rental is surrounded by windows with beautiful jungle views. The gardens are lush beyond belief and full of flowers! The host is very attentive, easy to reach, and accommodating. It had everything we need. When I posted pictures on social media, I received many comments on how amazing the place looked!
We loved the place, we were there for one night. For a longer stay I would have to address allergenic issues⊠but considering we were in a rainforest environmentâŠit was expected.I brought what I needed. Very cozy feel, great shower! I recommend.
