Iâve stayed in other desert camps around the world and my impression was that Mazayen could be more authentic and itâs definitely not good value for the price. The rooms are ok and comfy enough, but it looks like a regular hotel room. Bathroom cleanliness was a big issue as it looked like it wasnât cleaned after previous use. The restaurant pavilion is too big and impersonal, there wasnât bonfire or music the day I was there. The food served for lunch was rather expensive and not of good quality. Dinner was better and included in the price. All the power is off from 10am to 5pm, which wasnât a problem for me, but if you have to stay in for any reason, itâs good to know it. It wasnât a terrible stay, but weâll try another camp next time.
