When we arrived the apartment was very dirty and missing basic amenities. We contacted the owner, and he was willing to cover the costs of the things we had to purchase. He offered after two days for the cleaners to come. We did not want the cleaners to come because we cleaned ourselves. I was literally on the floor on my hands and knees cleaning the bathroom. And there were lots of ants. The infestation of ants was our major concern. The owner said I should buy insect repellant to take care of the ants. I did this. They just kept coming back. There were even ants in the bed. I went back and forth about this with the owner. He was very focused on the cleaning. He did not offer to have an exterminator come in. He should have paid for one night at a hotel for us while the ants were being taken care of. He eventually gave me a refund of one and a half days. I asked for a refund for the whole week. The place was unlivable so we moved out after three days. I was never given a full refund. I could live with the bare bones apartment and the cleaning. I could not live with the ants. The owner needs someone to come in and do a very deep clean and an exterminator to come out. We were in town because our daughter was having a baby. We picked the location because it was ten minutes away from our daughter. It was extremely stressful to move out and find new accommodations that were not close to our daughter. The owner seemed like a nice guy, but he did not take care of the ant problem.
