Photos and the description were wonderfully accurate, but don't show just how cute and cozy the place is! The hosts were responsive to any questions and suggestions. We loved our stay - will recommend it to all of our friends and hope to be back next year. The only issue was that we were so busy visiting family that we didn't get to hang out at the cabin enough!
We had the privilege of staying in this adorable cabin for the weekend. Our hosts were warm and welcoming, and their property was perfect for a weekend away from the hustle and bustle of life. We look forward to our next visit!
Highest praise for this place and the hosts. The larger property and the cabin itself are beautifully kept and everything in the listing is as pictured - comfy and nicely decorated and with all the basics for one or two peopleâŠbut better than pictured because of the amazing setting on the edge of the woods next to a brook. It was perfect to be in the coziness of the house with that huge picture window, bringing the outdoors in with you. I also sat on the porch, all wrapped up, and listened to the silence (except for the sound of the brook). Thanks Keith and Erika for the perfect winter getaway - my only regret was that I forgot my snow shoes and that my stay wasnât longer.
We had a beautiful stay at this little getaway! I went to take some time to read and work on my dissertation with my dog and husband and it was perfect. Highly recommend and we'd love to come back!
A cozy, perfect, secluded slice of heaven! Wish we would could have stayed longer!
The place was exceptionally clean when we arrived. It was a cozy little cabin, decorated beautifully & updated. The drive out to the cabin is secluded & down a dirt road. it's a beautiful drive with rolling hills & farms. We personally didn't have any cell service (there is wifi at the cabin!) so we had to put in the address to the cabin before we left our destination & before if we went anywhere using the wifi. It was nice being set apart from the world for a little while. The bed was so comfy - best sleep we had the entire trip! we may or may not have researched & found a bed similar to buy when we arrived home. My favorite was having coffee on the couch in front of the large window overlooking the brook & trees. We had our 1 year old with us & she enjoyed climbing up & down the soft foot stools with a good sized area for her to crawl/walk (she's learning) & play with her toys. We also had enough room to set up her playpen. There is a little sink, refrigerator with freezer, toaster oven & an electric tabletop stove. They provide a couple cups, silverware, bowls, plates and a kettle. I had to learn how to do the pour over method for coffee - easy and the coffee was smooth & delicious. The propane heater added to the coziness of the cabin. Very down to earth, nice & hospitable owners! We met Keith during our stay, who brought us down a pint of maple syrup locally collected ($15/pint - worth it & delicious!). He showed us the property & gave recommendations! A wonderful stay!
The place was just as advertised. Clean, cute, awesome views of the woods and stream. The owner spent time letting us and our daughter meet the chickens and peacock. Hoping to stay again!
This is probably one of the best views and experiences Iâve had in a short-term rental. The scenery was superb and so relaxing. I was here at the end of February, with snow on the ground, and it was a winter wonderland. The cabin itself is well-appointed and very comfortable, even for such a small space. I had all the pots and pans I needed to cook for one every day. (I stayed here for 2 weeks, which is probably longer than most people.) Remember the fridge size and donât over shop! Tankless water heater, so there was plenty of hot water. If you need to work while youâre visiting, including video calls, the router is in the cabin and I connected just fine with the Ethernet cord I brought along. Everything is so well put-together and organized and the furnishings are all very cozy and comfortable. An excellent stay with very considerate hosts.
We had a great time at the small, seculded cabin. It was perfect for myself, significant other, and our dog. We really enjoyed the large window and listening to the creek just below us.
We most recently stayed at Brookside Cabin on the Budding Homestead and had the pleasure of meeting the owners and their children. The cabin was spacious, clean and nicely decorated-large comfortable bed, living room, kitchen facilities and bathroom with shower and tub. They also had a propane heater which made the cabin comfortable in the chilly evenings. We truly enjoyed our stay and will definitely return.
This home was very clean and had everything we needed for our stay. It was so peaceful just sitting on the porch listening to the brook.
I would definitely recommend this home if you are looking for a place ro relax.
My husband, myself and our dog really enjoyed this beautiful cabin. And it snowed for us while we were there! We are from SC so we hardly ever see snow, what a treat! Cabin was super clean and the bed was so comfy, we will definitely be coming back.
Everything was lovely. The Cabin was so lovely. So very cozy and relaxing. Great location to set out and explore VT. It was exactly what I was looking for! Owners were available but totally respectful of privacy. Lovely!!
10/10 would recommend staying at this amazingly cozy little oasis to get out of the city life or whatever troubles you need a break from. The hosts are incredible and give the best local recommendations. :)
Great stay! Perfect place to get away for the weekend with my wife and pup. Very relaxing/ peaceful place to disconnect. Loved the decor and amenities. Thanks again!
The property and accommodation were very clean and was as stated on the reservation.
Unfortunately nothing was close for eating out or things to do.
Most things were at least 45 min to 1.5 hours away.
