Great location to see all of DC. We felt very safe. We had an issue getting in when we arrived but April was quick to respond and get us in as well as giving us some great tips for restaurants and the near by market. The place was great for 3 adults. With the stairs and small living room/kitchen area, I am not sure I would recommend it for families with small children.

Nice stay

We had everything packed and ready to go - so I thought - and then my daughter realized she didn't have her watch when we were 100 miles from DC. Thanks to April for helping us out and mailing my daughter's treasured device to us. Good value and very close to all the sights you want to see in the city.

This stay was amazing! The house was exactly as pictured and a bonus back deck to relax on was an major plus! April had great communication and kept me up to date with issues going on prior to my stay! Would definitely stay again.

Canceled- No Fault of Owner

This reservation had to be canceled last minute due to electrcal issues from the extreme heat. April was extremely apologetic and worked to help us find alternate accomodations, even offering a larger property for the same price. I appreciate her prompt communication and willingness to help.

Unacceptable Bed Bug Infestation and No Accountability

I’m extremely disappointed with my experience at this property, we stayed from June19-June 21. The morning of check out (master bedroom) I began itching and noticing bites and later confirmed they were from bed bug. This is not only disturbing but a serious health and hygiene issue that no guest should have to deal with!!When I contacted the owner to report the problem, they were dismissive and unwilling to take responsibility. There was no empathy, no offer to help resolve the issue, or compensate for the inconvenience and stress it caused. Instead, I was made to feel like I was exaggerating or at fault, which is completely unacceptable.Traveling should be a safe and comfortable experience, not one where you’re left dealing with itching, stress, and the fear of bringing bed bugs home. I’ve also had to take extra measures (and costs) to treat my belongings to prevent an infestation at home.I do not recommend this property until the owner takes proper action to address this issue, hires a professional pest control service, and prioritizes guest safety and cleanliness. Rent at your own risk!!!

We really enjoyed our stay! The neighborhood is wonderful and the home was the perfect size for me and my adult daughter. My only criticism is that it could have been cleaner. For instance, my socks were black from walking on the floor.

Location,location,location!

Four friends have been wanting to come to DC and do all the museums and memorials. We envisioned walking to everything, but we’re not sure we would find a place. Home Away From Home is that place. Charming neighborhood, walkable to everything, great restaurants, clean comfortable place. We had a ball!!!

Lovely home

Wonderful location (two blocks from my family’s’ home), EaternMarket, and many restaurants (most of whom deliver!). Comfortable beds. Would definitely stay again! Really need a light over the outside door. Very difficult to see in the dark.

What a gem!!

I absolutely loved our stay at Capitol Hill. This condo was quiet, clean and located next to everything. I felt extremely safe, even walking around at night. I cannot say enough about the city, everybody was polite, courteous, and engaging. I can’t wait to come back. and for the record this place had the best coffee selection at any other rental I’ve ever stayed at.

Perfect for a couple.

Great location, 1 mile from the capitol. Also close to a city bike share parking, which was super convenient. Very clean, and check in/check out process was seamless. It's very small, but was comfortable for me and my husband. It has two bedrooms, but I don't know that I'd recommend it for more than 2 or 3 people. .
