I felt like there were a lot more steps to register for this property than there were for other properties. Instructions for submitting photo i.d. using Google Chrome through my phone was wrong but alternate methods were communicated (might be easier going through the app). The property was a beautiful, well- situated, roomy and comfortable house near a beautiful district of old-town Alexandria and a short drive from downtown DC; bustling but felt safe and secure. Communication was timely and helpful. It suited my family of 10 adults very well. Driveway definitely only fits two cars, so plan to look for additional parking nearby if you have more than two cars.
Kitchen only supplied 5 forks NOT the fifteen which should have been provided as it is advertised as sleeps 15. The frying pan was 6 inches⊠not sufficient for 15 people. I was told that is their standard supply!!!Washer and Dryer were advertised and the dryer was not workingâŠ. No sign! We had a full load of wet clothing the day of checkout so we had to scramble to find a laundromat for a dryer. The beds were super comfortable and the location was very good for the Metro. The children loved the arcade game although not sure it really worked as it was supposed to.Should have not towels than provided. All in all I would not stay here again.
The house is beautiful and in a fantastic location for visiting Washington DC. I had a couple of issues I was quite suprised at the steepness of the stairs into the attic rooms. These would be difficult for elderly guests. I didnât feel there was ample seating for everyone to sit in the Lucy g room together. Also there were only 8 folksBut there were 11 of us and the house is advertised for more than 8 guests. Otherwise I would highly recommend the house it was idealFor our needs and we had a great stay
It's not easy to find a good house for 14 people including a baby but this house fit our needs. Access to the Metro made going to the sightseeing areas super easy and saved us a lot of money and effort. The house is older and with it comes some understandable age issues but overall it fit our needs.
Restaurant 1block& metro 1.5 blocks very helpful. Close to old town. Bathrooms smallish but nice/updated. We just coordinated our use.House very nice. Icemaker & water a bit quirky but overall very happy.
We chose this property as we were in town on a family trip to explore DC and attend a concert. This location was great as it was easy to get to from the Metro station that we took into town each day. House layout worked out great with kids.
The house is as described and the yard was perfect for our dog. Location was good for walking our dog on the Potomac Yard trail, just across the street, and the metro is one block away.
The property owner was very easy to deal with and communicated well. The house is beautiful, well-maintained, and we would highly recommend using it again.
We stayed for a week and loved the location. It was about a block to the Metro which made it great to get to all areas of DC. We bought a 3 day pass and used the train several times a day. When we would get back home for the day, It was only about a $7 Uber ride to get down to the marina area in Old Town where there are tons a shops and places to eat. The only "negative" would be that this house is very old and even though it has been updated, the floors are very creaky. If you had an early riser, they are not able to "sneak" down to the main floor without waking everyone in the house. This was ok for us since we got up early everyday to go sightseeing but for those who may want to sleep in, they might not like it. One bathroom is very small and you have to sit on the toilet to shave since the sink it perpendicular to the toilet and not enough room to stand in between. Overall though, it was a great place for a large group of people to all be together and chill a the end of the day when everyone was wore out.
